I've done most of the Trainer, but it didn't seem to help get my LR score up much (154 cold diagnostic, 160 june), with the most improvement in LG. Any advice on the best material for people who just don't "get" LR? PS Bible? I feel like I understand it, but I don't have a reasoning behind my answer choice; I just pick the one that sound rights and need to develop a real strategy.
did you do manhattan lr? I usually go -2/-3 in LR after I did that and drilled

Checking in! Got a 160 on June 2014 (first go)... Kind of what I was expecting. I didn't get to prep as hard. But I have Ivy League dreams..... Look like there is a lot of studying in my future.

September, here I come!

Was PT'ing very high/confidently and then choked on test day (mainly due to lack of sleep).
Registered for September. Gonna drink on it tonight before I definitely commit.

I do the same thing with LR. Go with the gut. I was thinking about getting a book on basic logic and just reading that to see if it helps. I've heard some people say it helped... I studied some strategies for LR but every time tried to apply them I just got more confused.

166, still in shock over how badly I did. Can't wait to take another shot. This test won't beat me twice.

I understand you didn't reach your threshold, but I wish you wouldn't be so melodramatic and 'pity me' about it. You're obviously seeking the 'omg shut up' response your getting and it's rather frustrating for those who didn't make it in that range.
There is nothing to be melodramatic about especially when you have given yourself to this test for over a year. No pity me party here. Its a bittersweet moment for me. There is a feeling of sadness when you know you could have done better, and did indeed underperform regardless of what the score is. If I was scoring 180's on my PT's and ended up with 175 instead of 178 I was hoping for, I would be experiencing same feelings I am now.
Its not just about the number, its about dedication-countless hours spent, and knowing you achieved the score you know you are capable of getting.

Exactly right. I have friends telling me my gpa and lsat scores are objectively amazing, but they don't understand the amount of SHIT that went into this and coming out with a sub-par product is just unacceptable. Be hard on yourselves everyone. ( but not too hard).

Its different for us trying to get into good law schools. My friends and family think a 3.6 163 is fucking amazing, that I shouldn't retake, and say I'll get into a top school because I went to Berkeley. If only they truly understood

Checking in. Feeling steadily shittier and traumatized about my dismal performance on June.
Hopefully I'll be able to channel that into resolution for September review. I work full-time at a pretty mentally demanding job, so I think I'll only be able to take p-tests on the weekend and drill for maybe an hour on weeknights. My social life is going down the drain.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
