That's pretty much what I'll be starting this weekend. When do you think you'll start PTing?JackelJ wrote:Finally, more people on this forum haha. I have also gone through about half of my materials (only about 15 of the most recent tests left). I think drilling is really working for me. I would sit down and drill one type of LR like flaw questions. Then I would go back and review everyone that I wasn't 100% on. Any that I got wrong I cut out and am saving to go over again later to make sure I fully understand the concepts. Understanding the concepts is the easy part. Drilling is improving my speed and I am able to anticipate answers more frequently. I am even redoing problems that I already did 2-3 months ago, which is fine for study purposes and I don't remember them. The big thing though is to review.AtticusRising wrote:I'm in the same boat! I was actually originally planning to sit for the June 2013 test but I've been moving around for work. Finally going to stay put long enough to take this test head on. I've gone through about half of my materials and have a pretty solid foundation on concepts. How effective do you think your drilling was? Thinking of doing the Cambridge packets before I start PTing again.JackelJ wrote:Just switched my LSAT date from this September to Feb 2015. I was only in the 160's and don't think I'll get the score I want by the test. With the extra 5 months I am shooting for as close to 180 as I can get. Already did a lot of drilling and I understand the concepts, so its just practicing until Feb.

Checkin' in.
Took in February '14 and got a 162. Retaking for some money at a strong regional, hopefully -- no interest/don't have the numbers for T14.
ETA: I need to buckle down on RC. I took PT57 last weekend off an 8 month break and scored 158 (-10 LG -- I was consistently -0/-1 going into last Feb).

Hi everyone!! Are all of you planning to apply this cycle? I'm studying for the December test but I may change to the February test in order to have more time to study. But I am applying this cycle so I don't want the February test to put me at a disadvantage! But I'm going to just see how things go!

I'm applying this cycle -- apps are already in for FSU/UF. I'll probably be applying to UM, Stetson, and maybe FIU. I already have an okay score to get into UF/FSU (hopefully), especially this early.

Welcome kirilrez & 7Steps! What do your study schedules look like from here until February?
(Disclaimer: This is my attempt at getting some momentum on this thread...it's a long ways until February and I ran out of people to rant about the LSAT with in my non-virtual life.)

I was registered to take it in Paris but I've somehow ended up in Houston. Where are you planning on taking it?righttt wrote:sup fellow masochists!

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
This is actually my second time taking the test. My first time I got 161 and not happy about it. Now I bought LSAT Blog three courses – LR,LG and RC – and finding them great.Welcome kirilrez & 7Steps! What do your study schedules look like from here until February?

I'm also using the Trainer which I like less then the courses, because it has little annoying drills like the evidence drill, but it's still great.
Moreover, I'm using Manhattan RC 4th ed, which is somewhat helpful but less than my other resources.
My study plan – to finish the LSAT blog courses and then take it from there…
What is your plan of attack?

I've heard good things about the LSAT Blog. I hope they do the trick for you.kirilrez wrote:This is actually my second time taking the test. My first time I got 161 and not happy about it. I'm doing a "self-study while working full time" suicide mission:
October: finish LGB and all LG cambridge packets, un-timed PTs once a week
November: finish MLR and all LR cambridge packets, un-timed PTs once a week + blind review
December: Voyager's RC/Superprep RC/Trainer's RC and all RC cambridge packets, 3 timed PTs per week + blind review
January: 3 timed PTs per week + blind review
February: Prove it was all worth it

I think that taking PTs in October is too early, I'm planning to take most of mine starting at the end of November. But, if you already have a firm grasp of the fundamentals then go right ahead. Moreover, I think that doing PTs untimed is ineffective, because you want to use them to build endurance and time efficiency, I also did a couple of PTs untimed, which didn't help me much.
I want to drill the Cambridge packets, especially the LG ones, then I want to start PTing and do the hardest RC/LG/LR questions from the packets.
