When I say I've taken done 1-38 I meant I've done the drilling. I've only taken two prep tests and both of which I screwed up on the timing portion. So I don't know what that means and there is still some improvement, especially in LR. RC & LG, like I said, are pretty good; still a little slower than I'd like. For 176: I'd love a 180 but I'm trying to be practical. I don't think I can get nearly all of the questions right, but who knows. MY gpa is just fine.
Yes, 176, quite practical.

(1) I don't know if that "MY" was a typo but fyi, it comes off as incredibly conceited on the internet as if to say, "I don't know about YOU but MY gpa is fine." If it was a typo, my apologies. Otherwise, I don't know who the hell you think you are.

(2) You do realize that getting a 176 is getting about a 97%, right? Look at the bolded. What are your goals anyway? To be honest, if you had a good gpa (>3.80) then a 176 is oddly specific. After about a 172 - with a >3.80 that is - you are in for more or less a crapshoot for YHS. If YHS wouldn't accept you with a 172-180, it is presumably your softs holding you back. Otherwise, you are basically a lock from about Penn on down with a really good shot at Chicago, NYU, and Columbia.

Just relax a bit dude. You are coming off terribly right now, the kind of poster that agrees with anyone who is unrealistically optimistic and bashes anyone that tries to offer help. We are trying to help you. If you don't want to hear what we have to say, don't ask us.

I thought I was being quite candid in my previous post. I did not mean anything at all by the "MY". It should have been "My". I was just answering your question about GPA. And I understand your (2), and my gpa is in that range, but I'm coming straight from undergrad and want the best chance possible to get into the best schools.

I meant 97% of the questions right. Looking back, I guess that is a weird thing for me to write  as if I was in high school again taking science tests.

A 176 is more or less about a -3, right?

Then my apologies, of course :D . If you are REALLY serious about getting into YHS, then you need to be serious about the following mantra: Don't prep for a date, prep to a score. Don't take it until you are getting 180s consistently. Zhenders will tell you that test day anxiety is a thing (I dunno if he had it at all but he was prepping in the 180 range and got a 170 on test day).

THAT is what we are trying to say. Also, get some work experience first. Even a year work experience can really make you grow up and figure out if this is something you really want to do. You absolutely do not have to take it in September and apply for the following cycle. When it comes time to actually get jobs (the goal here, remember?) employers supposedly like a bit of experience. I am, however, a 0L and someone else would be able to confirm this with more detail.

EDIT: and seriously man, welcome to TLS. This place is great and we will be happy to help you with those real questions of yours

little worse than that usually -5 or so, varying with the curve.

Hey, I didn't make this thread to ask people whether or not they think this thread is stupid. I made it to ask for substantive information/advice, and your statement is not substantive nor advisory. Therefore, your statement should not be made. Why don't you bother someone else with your unneeded opinions?

God.
Stop acting like a petulant child. It's an internet forum. Of course you're going to get unsolicited opinions on whether your thread is stupid, especially if your thread is stupid, which it is. Deal with it. I gave you good advice.

Also the passive voice is bullshit and you should stop using it

I like to think my guide has changed the responses to this thread.

I feel like months ago, you would have gotten responses like:

Read the trainer + 30PT + Noodley's guide = guaranteed 180!

ehh, I want to believe that is part of the reason but I can't ignore OPs douchey attitude as a big cause for the harshly honest responses. The fake flame/troll persona seems designed to be easy to hate and somebody people would want to root against. If OPs attitude wasn't blatantly offensive and instead a likeable story I think people would have been mainly supportive and encouraging like usual rather than harshly critical of unrealistic expectations/delusional beliefs.

OPs opening post for this thread is similarly absurd as somebody with a gunshot wound to the head walking into an ER, asking the doctors if taking tylenol everyday for a few months will be enough to take care of it, and then getting mad that nobody will give a simple straight answer to his question and only focus on it specifically, then arguing that saying anything else is not substantive. It's pretty dumb and wasn't intended to be a legit question, instead was meant to stir people up like it did.

I can't believe nobody has called flame/troll on OP yet, it's obviously an alt account of a TLS regular created to flame/troll for fun. It's obvious in the short post history just from the titles of the three threads OP started in the first week since registering the account: sex in LS, easiest LSAT and then this gem.
Wonder if OP knows that TLS mods really frown on people that make alt accounts to troll.

You may be a supposed LSAT expert (at least it seems that way), but you are most certainly not psychoanalyst of forum contributors expert.

I don't understand what's unreasonable about wanting to know how much *** one can plan to get at law school.

I especially don't understand how it's unreasonable to ask whether or not 2.5 months is sufficient time to improve an LSAT score to a 176?

And as an LSAT expert, I was a little taken aback by your blatantly false analogy about Tylenol and doctors? Time is a serious consideration for people studying the LSAT. And having enough time to appropriately be able to at least attempt to master all the LSAT has to offer you to learn is serious, not whatever you suppose it is.

I was only offensive toward one poster anyway because he called my thread stupid. How would you feel going into a forum asking for some serious advice on something so important as the LSAT and be told that 'your thread is stupid'. It was out of line and irked by nerves.

Anyway, I'm definitely not a troll, just don't like people coming in there with this arrogant " I know everything about the LSAT attitude and your question is thus stupid".

If you are this sensitive about forum posts and strangers' opinions, I fear that law school may be a rude awakening.

No amount of prep is necessarily sufficient to score a 176+ on test day. Most people are not capable of ever doing it.

TLS is playfully snarky. You just gotta roll with the punches.

Besides, this thread IS stupid, because:

The amount of time it takes to get a 176 is the same amount of time it takes to get any other score: about 175 minutes, plus a break in the middle. A little over 3 hours, in total.

The amount of time it takes to improve a score from whatever to 176 is unpredictable. It depends on why you're getting the score that you're getting and how quickly you can identify and fix your mistakes. That might be on your next practice test, or it might be never. So it takes somewhere between a little over 3 hours and an infinite amount of time.

I'm a little confused at the OP's math (scoring ~167, wants 176, asks about raising the score "6 7 points" rather than, say, 9 points). Nevertheless, 6 hours a day for 2.5 months is probably plenty for anything (I raised my score from 154 to 180 in less time than that) if you're efficient about it. It may not be sufficient if you're not efficient about it, but no amount of time may be sufficient if you're not efficient about it.
