Re: For Rescheduled December Test Takers
Hey guys, just got off the phone with the lady in charge at TAMUL @Ft. Worth -- she said it'll be 12/14 (this Saturday).PatriotP74 wrote:Hmm sounds like they may be doing it on different days, my guess is they are contacting all the centers to find when its available then contact them again with a final decision. It would make sense at least!
PatriotP74, I know this doesn't bode well for you and me -- hopefully we can get it worked out. Good luck!
ETA: I also asked her about seating arrangements, if anyone cares lol. She said we'd have four seats per person, so I guess we'll have plenty of room. She also said that she'd let people use the phone in the bookstore afterward if necessary since we're not allowed to bring phones into the center. Hope this helps!

Re: For Rescheduled December Test Takers
Yeah I was worried about not having enough room, since I've never been to this testing center before lol.PatriotP74 wrote:Well at least we know! Thanks for the Info!! Good to know we will have plenty of room!!

Oh lolPatriotP74 wrote:awk lol someone on their Facebook page posted like the same time you did that they called and it was 12/14 haha felt like it was too big of a coincidence!
I went to the building last week, didn't get to go to the rooms though, the guy told me it was supposed to be in like a huge conference room!
Took in June at TAMU Commerce, we all got 3 seats and it was nice, i was nervous about having to sit right next to someone i like to have my elbow room lol
Yeah I took the October one at UT Arlington and I had a great experience, so I was sad when that center wasn't available for December. (It's also way closer than TAMUL to my house haha.) I just saw all the horror stories about centers with desks smaller than the booklet and was just like

Re: For Rescheduled December Test Takers
Thanks. I'm trying to stay calm, but the uncertainty is killing me. Unfortunately, mine was the only test center in the whole state that cancelled the test. The irony is that I actually live in Portland (about 40 miles from Salem), and the test centers here were fine! I guess all I can do now is keep my fingers crossed that it'll work out on the 21st. If not... well, I don't want to think about that possibility.PatriotP74 wrote:Don't panic. I'm also a retake from June, and withdrew from October, and applying this cycle so we have some similarities. I would guess they will be able to do it one of these weekends, IF they cant i would imagine there would be a way LSAC could set you up with a nearby testing center that also cancelled! I would just take it easy don't stress over it until you get something confirmed then contact LSAC to see what your options may be!

Re: For Rescheduled December Test Takers
Did everyone get this email from Harvard today?
-----------------
Last weekend, storms across the country impacted many LSAT centers and caused numerous test cancellations. Through the LSAC Candidate Referral Service, I know you were scheduled to take the December LSAT and I realize your plans may have been derailed by these cancellations. We have heard from many candidates who have been impacted and we are taking steps to make things easier on those who have been affected. First, while HLS does not normally allow first-time February LSAT scores in the admissions process, we will accept the February 2014 administration this year. Second, since we will be accepting the February LSAT we are also extending the application deadline from February 1, 2014 to March 1, 2014.
For anyone who has found their plans altered by the test center closures, I’ve put additional information about applying with a February LSAT score on my blog at:

PatriotP74 wrote:Any word from anyone else's test centers today?
So far as a total ive seen 2-3 centers have said this Saturday(14th) and 1 that has said the 21st, another that said they dont know.
According to this site http://blueprintprep.com/lsatblog/lsat- ... postponed/ LSAC has indicated they may not be able to get them all done before the holidays, so it looks like it's possible they don't get them all on the same day!
I saw that as well. I have yet to receive confirmation from LSAC regarding my rescheduled test date (only verbal confirmation from my testing center). With that said, I highly suspect that there is no requirement for LSAC to administer the rescheduled test on the same day across the board and we will see multiple dates for the rescheduled December LSAT...

Re: For Rescheduled December Test Takers
I also got my confirmation email. I find it pretty ridiculous that LSAC notifies the centers but doesn't notify the test-takers until almost two whole days later. Just seems unnecessarily cruel and frustrating.PatriotP74 wrote:UPDATE: Just got my email, confirmed for this Saturday!

Out of curiosity, will December make-up takers' score be factored into the main curve or will they have their own?

I spoke with my test center today and they said it isn't confirmed yet but it looks like the 21st. I asked them if it was even a possibility that the test could be the 14th and they said no, that's not even a date they put in. I think people will have different dates and different tests.fnma2jd wrote:I got mine too! glad that its not on the 21st like some people said
This whole this seems like a mess.

Re: For Rescheduled December Test Takers
I agree! huge mess! Its not the reschedule that kills you, its the uncertainty of when you'll get rescheduled for. I honestly thought it was going to be the 21st for my center or I would have done way more PTs this week.Nicolena. wrote:I spoke with my test center today and they said it isn't confirmed yet but it looks like the 21st. On the bright side, at least you have an extra week to study
