Re: Prep Course Velocity LSAT?

Post by man_utd_4l » Wed Dec 05, 2012 2:10 am

Seriously? How many of these things are you going to make? (http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/s ... 3&sr=posts)

We get it, you had a bad experience. Does that really justify making a thread like this once a month? To state your opinions about a particular test prep company is one thing, but it appears that your sole purpose on TLS is to create threads like this one.

There were/are issues with Velocity, issues that predate you being on TLS. People should research any prep company/method they invest in. Tough break, but Velocity has worked for many people. It has also not worked for others. You assumed the risk. Used a product for a couple of weeks and then decided you wanted your money back. Doesn't seem right to me.

I hope Testmasters works for you, but please do not make multiple threads when they are not a silver bullet.

Velocity Prep course

Post by hondars112 » Sat Dec 08, 2012 12:12 am

Anyone else have problems with this prep course, I was not happy with the first lesson and its one thing to be "entertained" but another to actually learn. Nevertheless i asked for a refund but was rejected and the instructor lied to paypal so that they would side with Velocity. This company is inviting poor people to join with their deceptive site. Would not recommend

I've heard similar stories. Would not recommend them.

Why are you using Velocity, and not Powerscore?

Velocity LSAT with Dave Hall

Post by hondars112 » Sun Dec 09, 2012 2:56 pm

This company is terrible to work with in case you are on the fence to join, i would advice you not to. Not helpful at all.

1- First they provide you with free videos that may look helpful but they are inviting a mistaken belief. The course videos are terrible, they are a minute long where he reads the question, i thought this was a prep course so that i can learn LSAT, if you want someone to read to you and entertain you this may be for you (beware lots of foul language that is unnecessary). In his lesson videos for LR he does not explain WHY it is right and WHY the answers for wrong. The free videos are much more comprehensive, hence the reason the company is shady

2- I lost the paypal dispute because this company lied to paypal.

It's crazy that 90% of your posts are just you bitching about this company. Give it a rest dude.

In his videos he doesn't provide the answers to the questions, so you have to keep looking at the answer sheet, furthermore, he doesn't explain why they are wrong. I feel so cheated by this company.

If gaud tells you to give it a rest, then you probably need to give it a rest: he appears to be a mellow dude.

As someone who has taken BP and Velocity, I couldn't disagree with you more OP

EDIT: Also, I had an instance where I screwed up and a book was sent to the wrong address. Velocity sent me another book at the correct address fo free

OMG, it looks like OP has nothing better to do than bashing VelocityLSAT. If you are one of their rivals, do something positive to advertise your company. Bashing will never get you anywhere. Using the same ID to bash a company earns you zero credibility.

I motion that the mods edit the thread title of every thread started by hondars to "I <3 Dave Hall" or "Why I love Velocity LSAT"

+1

Also, I'd like to suggest that Dave offer a small discount to people who purchase his Velocity LSAT course when they enter the discount code "HONDARS112" during checkout. Maybe he'll see a boost in spiteful registrations. never mind.

Its sad that people support this company, i really feel sorry for you. For those with similiar experience has mine, i am in the process of opening another investigation with my credit card company to get my money back back from this company. Good luck to you all.

Investigation opened again with my credit card company. provided them with the recent law suit case presented by testmasters (may 2012) to strengthen my case, in reference to false advertising and false representation by Velocity prep course.

Its not fair for people to be lured into joining a company that is misrepresenting itself.
