I hate table games. I feel like there is no way around it other than to plug n chug. I agree with others that its the time consuming games that are the most difficult. I really enjoy in/out games, I find that I am very strong in them. I think if someone didn't recognize that the dino game could be set up with that template it would be extremely time consuming. I am trying to imagine the dino game in a multi-row grouping and it just sounds terrible lol.JamMasterJ wrote:This helps me make my point (at least in my case). The inference is that U/V is out and than the rule that L/U can not both be mauve severely limits the game. I found it fairly easy.

same here, but I'd prefer four really hard games with a normal distribution of game type to two really tough games like CDs alongside a coulple mid-level advanced linear games that are easy, but super time consuming due to the relative lack of narrowing options.phillykid wrote:Yea I didn't mean to say there is an absolute way of looking at it. Agreed. Four in/out games would give me the most trouble b/c those tend to be extra time consuming.JamMasterJ wrote:same here, but I'd prefer four really hard games with a normal distribution of game type to two really tough games like CDs alongside a coulple mid-level advanced linear games that are easy, but super time consuming due to the relative lack of narrowing options.phillykid wrote:Yea I didn't mean to say there is an absolute way of looking at it. Zephyr Airlines
Bus seats

I'd not really care about the LG section no matter which games...instead I'd dread 4 super difficult/length RC passages. Fuck RC.

Re: Which four games would you combine to create the most diffic
I would go with Snakes and Lizards, Bus Seats, Clinics (which killed me until recently), and the layer cake.
It's really interesting to see the varied responses, and how different things present problems to different people. I thought Zephyr Airlines was pretty easy, and CDs was moderately easy. Clinics, though, which only one person has mentioned, was just brutal for me.
I don't mind the plug-n-chug with table games, because I usually find that the rules give you enough to make the plug-n-chug pretty quick and easy.

June 2011's balls in boxes game.
Juarez and Rosenberg reviewing textbooks.
Zephyr airlines (thankfully a rare game type)
Lizards and Snakes
I didn't find CD game all that hard, and Dinosaurs was a piece of cake.

I actually didn't find a problem with old cds new cds... i thought it was pretty standard if you use "J" for new jazz and "j" for old jazz, etc.

Lizards and snakes? LIZARDS AND SNAKES? What the hell is lizards and snakes? I have NEVER heard of that game and trust me, I know them all man. LIZARDS AND SNAKES, what test are you taking? Not the LSAT I know, buddy, no way, 'cause that's just not in there, never was! Never will be!banjo wrote:musical instruments

I probably mixed them up while doing the game too. Even after months of doing only LG I still made careless errors like that, including on test day. But those of you taking it next week should feel hopeful and stuff...Micdiddy wrote:Lizards and snakes? LIZARDS AND SNAKES? What the hell is lizards and snakes? But seriously, I still make mistakes on LG's also. It's got to the point where the first thing I go back and review with time remaining is every question I picked A on, 'cause often I misread the question and found something was true right away, picked it and moved on when I was supposed found something not true (or vice-versa).
I hope there are some LG's on the real thing. I wouldn't mind some hard ones if LSAC decides to make a better curve because of it, too.

Re: Which four games would you combine to create the most diffic
How it would go, Teresa Giudice rage-level-wise for me
Game 1 Snakes & Lizards or similar

Game 2 A rare game type - something with a diagram or circular seating

Game 3 Reviewing textbooks or similar

Game 4 Seats on a bus or similar

I said or similar because I've done S&L, textbooks, and seats on a bus so often that those exact games wouldn't throw me. But new games that are like those? WOULD KILL ME.
The rage would be building because 4 tough games in a row would be SO BAD.

LG: used and new CDs, dinosaurs, snakes and lizards, Zephyr Airlines
RC: maize, groupthink, Puerto Rican code-switching, Noguchi (switch out Noguchi for Willa Cather if you want a comparative reading passage in there)

PT 57. It's tough, but for my money not quite as tough as people think. The rules restrict things pretty well under the circumstances in each question, but you have to keep a ton disparate rules in your head to be able to do it with any quickness whatsoever.Br3v wrote:I honestly think I was oblivious to this Dino game everyone always mentions. For me, Snakes and Lizards. I'm not sure I could 100% that game in 15:00 much less 8:45
Zepher fucked me up in PTing but wouldn't now, but first time through, I zepher makes the list.
Dinos for sure, couldn't get it first time in 8min
hmm, any thing out of the ordinary. Mixing colors, making words, circular seating etc.
any ONE of these on June and I might be fucked, more then one I'd cancel before the power-bar break...

Re: Which four games would you combine to create the most diffic
The hardest part of Dinos was the "fake elimination" question. I can see someone spending a depressingly long time sitting on B and C waiting for a rule to jump out at them that never does.
Considering there's a fairly small out group, whenever a dinosaur goes out, that limits the game down pretty drastically.
