I became irrationally angry with the proctor after he announced five minutes left (at which point I was already in full-blown panic attack, and was essentially useless for the rest of the test anyway), and when he said that we couldn't leave until after the full writing section was over, I nearly stood up and accused him of false imprisonment.

I didn't, thankfully. But still, every part of my soul wanted to run out of that room, and it's hard to express how annoyed I was having to write about the Wangs and their stupid child care when I was almost positive I was cancelling the test.

Yep.

I don't get this "think about the GRE," is that because the GRE is suppose to be easier? Sry, i've never opened a GRE book but I may have to consider it after this test. Lol. Leme know, serious Q cuz I don't get this reference ;P

My statement meant that I'm failing at this section in the LSAT and that could cause me potentially not do well on this LSAT test all-together so the GRE might be a better option...The GRE does not have a section similar to LG's so in my case it probably will be easier if I need to take it...
OK, got it. Thanks for the run-down buddy cuz I'm in the same boat as you, deff a hard LG section. We'll see. Wish ya the best of luck, hopefully we did well and neither of us have to take the GRE, but now I know that's an option ;P

Anyone actually finish them all w/o guessing on any?
Yeah I did, though I had less than a minute to spare.

Maybe its me, but I thought the LG's were fair and expected from Oct test. I took June test and mulch game was a nightmare! there were just a bunch of conditionals on the stained glass game. I took Binary solutions in NYC and Eva is a Gem!

...wonder why I re-took a 169.

But hey, when years from now young LSATers are talking about that legendarily hard Dec. 10' LG section, we can gloat about it like Andy Rooney on the Great Depression.

F*ck the Wangs, and F*ck their 12 year old child! Haha! jk no dude, most of us bombed that. I blanked man, I guessed on 7-8, full out guesses. 2-3, educated guessed. Unless you were shooting for over a mid 160 I don't think its the end of the world, how many you guess on? We just gotta hope we guessed right buddy. I've had some lucky guesses before and allz I know is I am not retaking that test every again!

Plus, don't forget, they'll likely curve to compensate everyone elses difficulties there. I know it wasn't just me, the moment I left I knew I couldn't have been the only one who struggled that one. It was just difficult, I've taken 50+ PT and that one was really one of the worst. Two extremely hard games in one section. Gotta be some curve to consider.

EDIT: But you better have rocked 1+4

The Wangs kid was 10, not 12. 8)

Weren't there two kids who were 12 years old?
Not that I recall. I think you might've been hallucinating during the WS. In at Berkeley.

The kid was 10 for me, too.

I wrote 750-1000 words about why the Wangs would best be served by driving their child out into the woods, and leaving him/her there, armed only with a one-gallon Ziploc bag filled with approved supplies, an analog wrist watch, and a snack, to survive in the wilderness and fight off bears.

a) Accommodating to the Wangs' work schedule? Check.
b) Providing the Wangs' child with a variety of experiences not found in the traditional school setting? Check.
c) Approximating for the Wangs' child how I felt taking the December '10 LSAT logic games section? Check.

The October games were a joke. Mulch only tripped me up for a second until I realized I only needed to use one tier. I knew they would compensate, but this was ridiculous.

Well, when I first finished it, I spent the first five minutes of the writing sample staring at my desk. I had rocked the other sections, and I was utterly confused as to how the LG was so shitty.

Then I thought of the different Dante-esque torments that await the LSAC employees in hell.

And then, I felt pretty good when I realized that everyone thought LG sucked.

But I learned that the LR that I had bombed thinking it was the experimental was real.

And that sucked.
+1

Please I hope the first LR is the experimental
