hit my average PT of 161. I knew I would fall somewhere between 160 and 163.

No, I didn't I hit my best fit line on the SPOT though. 161. 4 pts lower than what I wanted
I need a spot to vent.
I checked the pdf's and i finally know what happened. -10 RC, UGH!!! LSAC did me dirty. I got hit on my weakest section (RC) back to back on Sect. 2 and Section 3. LR-RC-RC-LR-LG
Is this fair? I KNOW that if I had a different exam composition (RC spread out AT LEAST) that I woulda scored at least 2-3pts better on the exam.

I had the same test as you. Ended up -5 LR, -9 RC, -1 LG. I think the RC back to back screwed me too. However, RC1 (the experimental) was so freakishly hard that RC2 felt easy in comparison. I was expecting to miss 4 questions tops on it... -9 is a slap in the face. I missed 3 out of the first 10 questions on the test (most likely due to fighting off nerves). Everything else was fine. I'm slightly upset at the stupid mistake I made on LG, but -1 on LR2 is more than acceptable.Malcolm8X wrote:No, I didn't I hit my best fit line on the SPOT though. 161. 4 pts lower than what I wanted

I'm lucky I got a 154. I scored like I usually do in all of the section which is usually a 163 average but something happened in LG that I only got 35% of the answers correct when in all the PTs I would get like 70% right if not more making it my highest and most consistent section

It seems like a lot of first time takers were displeased with their results, but that could just be my bias. After all, that's exactly what happened to me-I got a lower score than I expected the first time through, and a higher score than I'd hoped on the retake.

I was on the lower end, but still happy. I stayed between a 167-175 during my prep, hit a 168. I am happy and have no real desire to crack open the books again!

Re: Did anyone meet their expectations on the October LSAT?
I bombed the RC with a -10, that was usually my guaranteed -1/-2 section. Even if I performed abysmally on the other sections (which I did) I was counting on RC keeping me 165+. I went double my average on both LG and LR and ended with a 158.
I cold diagnosed a 158 five months ago, looking back I wish I would have just gotten bombed every weekend instead of studying.
Guess I'm sitting this cycle out, at least this time next year ill have had my apps in for two months.

-1 off my min expected score
dunno what happened to me in the RC (-5 when I usually avg -0 or -1/2) but maybe nerves since it was my 1st section
not retaking tho.. just gonna take my scores and apply early (and hope for the best)
