Hi are you serious? This is TLS. I see your join date was quite a while ago... I would've figured that you actually visited some threads in that time.BrownBears09 wrote:This thread reeks of undeserved elitism and an overvalued sense of self worth.

No kidding. What will be most funny is when these kids who "zOMG didn't know there was an experimental section LOLZ!1!" take your seats at HYS.BrownBears09 wrote:This thread reeks of undeserved elitism and an overvalued sense of self worth.

This is hilarious. Better for you guys if these people end up matriculating into your sections, they'll probably end up helping your curve. haha.kwais wrote:the best thing I heard, by far.
Girl 1 "I looked on Emory's website and they said they were accepting applications for 2014. That means they have a 3 year waiting list, JUST TO APPLY!"
Girl 2 "That makes sense, I think a lot of the top schools are that way"
Awesome!
When did being realistic and well-prepared become elitism? Besides, you're dealing with a pretty elitist profession. Do some research.BrownBears09 wrote:This thread reeks of undeserved elitism and an overvalued sense of self worth.

Oh yes, totally this. It is a harsh world out there. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.Ginj wrote:This. When did being realistic and well-prepared become elitism? Besides, you're dealing with a pretty elitist profession. Do some research.

A guy next to me was in his first year of law school at a fourth tier. HE was there to take again to raise his score to increase his chances at a transfer.
Never heard of that before.

Re: Overheard at the LSAT
There were three d-bags talking very loudly at the entrance to the building before the test. Choice snippets:
Guy 1: When I go to job interviews, I don't say "I chose chemical engineering because it was hard," I say "I chose chemical engineering because it was HARD" and then I get the job.
Guy 2: Well, I single-handedly increased the profits of a Red Robin by 13%. It's proven.
Guy 1: Were you the manager or something?
Guy 2: No, I was a waiter.
Guy 3: Well my GPA is 2.93 but I TOTALLY got a 176 on my diagnostic so that's good enough for Harvard.
They probably meant to psych people out/brag, but it actually put me in a great mood for the test because it was hilarious.

Me: "So are you nervous? I can't stop worrying. I barely slept last night."
Girl next to me: "Nope. I'll just try my best and see where that gets me"
Me: "That's good. It's really just logic games I'm worried about. I feel like they're so unpredictable. Sometimes I get all of them and other times I just won't get a game and miss 6"
Girl next to me: "What's logic games?"
Me: *blank stare*

ROFL. For some reason these guys totally remind me of Dwight and Andy from The Office. Guy 2, especially, I picture as Dwight and it is hilarious.

Haha, I couldn't believe it was happening. This was a retake for me and my first test was at a Christian college where people offered to pray for us all....this was slightly different.

Proctor: "So does anyone have any final questions before we start?"
Guy in the room: "Yeah, will they tell us what section is the experimental one when we're doing it?"
----------
Yep, there's going to be a big box at the top of the page saying "THIS ONE DOESN'T COUNT- TAKE A 35 MINUTE NAP"
