Re: Average score increase on LSAT
No diag but first administration was a 166
Just got a 176 because I studied for four months instead of one and a half like the first two times

Real: 175
Busted my ass for a summer. Used this site. Big gains are possible with hard work!

Re: Average score increase on LSAT
My diagnostic was a 152. My best PT scores were 170 (I think I got 170 3 times). My score on the October, 2011 test was 171. So 19 point gain. Not bad.
Edit: And honestly, compared to a lot of people here, I don't think I did that much. Took a Kaplan class, then did like a dozen or so PT's between the middle of August and the test on October 1st, while reading through the LR Bible and skimming the RC and LG Bible's.

Re: Average score increase on LSAT
Diag: 159
1st test: 169
2nd test: 175
It all comes down to recognizing patterns and determining why wrong answers are wrong and why right answers are right. On the second round of studying, my former LSAT tutor had told me to never leave a question until I could definitively say why one answer was right and the four others were wrong. Also, cut out any questions you cut wrong and review them from time to time to see if you can identify any patterns in the questions you slip up on.

Cold diag: 136
Actual score: 163, although I misbubbled a few, costing me a 165.
