It would probably benefit you. I really like having the PDFs, I can't print because my printer is busted, but I don't mind just writing down my answers in a notebook. What threw you off the most on the June test?

Hmm, LG really got me, but also RC. It's hard to pinpoint any specifics though.bostonlawchick wrote:It would probably benefit you. hmmm... I mean, if it wasn't timing that got you I would probably take a crack at doing the 500 hardest questions. If you can get those done correctly under timed conditions it might help you not get tripped up by curveballs next time. RC is just a bitch. I feel like for those, finding the passage even remotely interesting is the only thing that helped me.

Took PT 45 today w/ 43.2 as experimental. Went -0 LR -4 RC (grr) (-0 LR experimental) -0 LG -2 LR for 93/176. The -4 on RC was very frustrating...I missed 3 alone on the hippocratic oath passage. My cold RC diagnostic was a -3. 58 PT's later and I have pretty much not improved or become consistent. Thankfully I got -0 on the LG section or I would have gone apeshit
. I thought I was going to miss at least 1 for sure since I got 4 A's in a row. But it turns out that was right so, phew. Again, feeling strong on LR. -2 over 3 LR sections today, not bad. 1 of those misses was kind of understandable, it was on a real tough assumption question and I was 50/50 on it. The other one I just missed the small detail in the stimulus I needed to answer the question correctly, so that definitely was unacceptable. Need to make sure to pay attention to detail even on the last 5 questions on the 5th passage.
Ugh, oh well thankfully it had a very generous -12 curve IIRC.

Good job on LR. you have definitely cracked the code of this section. I will be taking PT45 tomorrow. I will try to see if i can hit 170 for the first time. I've been stuck at 167(highest) because of my missing -10 LG on average. I think you will rock the LSAT even more in Oct.Knockglock wrote:Took PT 45 today w/ 43.2 as experimental. Re: On Track for the October 2010 LSAT -- Kicking off the Rust
Good luck! I think the key to my LR consistency is now when I narrow a tough question to 50/50 I can usually get the answer choice right. I think this is due to having drilled so many LR questions I have developed a "feel" for the credited answer choice. I've learned to pick out the correct answer, even if I can't necessarily explicitly state why the answer choice is correct. I've also learned that when it's down to 50/50, at least for me, it isn't so much as choosing the correct answer, but rather looking for the littlest and subtlest thing that makes an answer choice wrong and process of eliminating to the correct answer.jr1886 wrote:Good job on LR. you have definitely cracked the code of this section. Good luck, keep drilling those LG's man. You're close to breaking through. If you can cut down to even -5 on LG you should be scoring regularly in the low 170's. Have you tried reducing speed and going for 100% through the 3 easiest games? and then trying to get as many as you can on the last game?

Thanks. I was inspired by you to start a thread tracking my progress, I hope I will be inspired enough to lock down LG pretty soon. I read the LGB for a second time and this time i feel like im doing a lot of progress. I will see how that goes before switching to a strategy of doing just 3 LG before test day. If I get -5 on LG, I would get 170s most of the time but i'm not there yet. Thanks for the suggestions.Good luck, keep drilling those LG's man. You're close to breaking through. On my Last PT(41) I did my my best on LR so far -5 . I'm drilling this section heavily and I am trying to bring it down to -2 . How many PTs you got left? i though you took pretty much all of them last time around?

Yeah I took all I could get from 7-59, minus a few I couldn't get. I'm just re-doing 43-60 this time around, a more relaxed pace.jr1886 wrote:Thanks. Good call on reading the LGB again, I bet it's helpful now that you already got a grasp of the basic concepts and you can start to get familiar with more advanced techniques.
Lock down that LG man! Drill, drill, drill, drill, drill

Same here. I've got 40 & 43-60 next month. This is going to be a fun month.Knockglock wrote: Yeah I took all I could get from 7-59, minus a few I couldn't get. I'm just re-doing 43-60 this time around, a more relaxed pace.

Didn't realize you were re-taking too!
I definitely need to kick off the rust - I don't know if I'm being lazy and screwing myself over or being relaxed and somehow it will all come together on test day (haha).
I won't make myself too crazy though - Not planning on doing more than 10 PTs between now and test day since I've done 40-60 already (during my original study time - not for the retake). I think mostly I need to practice endurance during the sections.
Good luck to us!

Anyone else take a 'step back' after finishing up the bibles ...I moved through each section faster than I did in June of 2007, but my score took a slight hit. I still have yet to review (will do tonight for 2 hours) to see what type of errors were made.

Re: On Track for the October 2010 LSAT -- 60th LSAT down.
Took PT 46 today, with 43.3 as the 3rd experimental section going: -1 RC -1 LR (-0 LR) -0 LR -0 LG. Just looked at my original study log, and guess how my original PT 46 went? I can't make this up: -1 RC -1 LR -0 LR -0 LG. Which makes me strongly wonder if i'm just subconsciously remembering everything.
Also, further proof that whatever I score in the 170's in so random and unpredictable. Today I seriously felt so incredibly shitty, definitely up there as worst days of my life. I couldn't even go to the gym and burn off some off that because it was labor day
. And then I turn around and get a 179 on a PT? I will never understand...

Re: On Track for the October 2010 LSAT -- 62nd LSAT down.
Looks like I got 5 straight -0 LR sections going, but I can barely get a -0 LG section, ugh.
Here's what I did today:
43 -- 09/08/10 ---- -1 RC -0 LR -0 LR -1 LG ------- 99/180 ----- experimental test
47 -- 09/08/10 ---- -0 LR -2 RC -0 LR -3 LG ------- 95/175 ----- 5 sections
That's my 5th 180 I think. And 2 days ago I got a 179 which I think was my 5th 179.
Just need to score anywhere close on the real deal and I never have to worry about this test ever again. I had pretty much less than zero motivation to take it today (thanks in large part to personal life distractions
). I need to work on focusing and blocking out distractions. Hopefully I can get a hang of that before Oct. 9th.

Haha thanks, the scores are probably not realistic though. I've taken all these PT's before so i'm sure it's inflated to some degree.aesis wrote:MAN you are KICKING ASS!

51 -- 09/16/10 ---- -1 LR -2 RC -0 LR -0 LG ------- 98/179 ----- 4 sections (forgot experimental PT)
Accidently brought the wrong PT with me to the library for my experimental section (PT 50, the test I took 2 days ago).

I also scored a 175 2 days ago.
Feeling good
