I'm surprised how many of them already have their J.D.s Is this normal? I'd think they'd be off doing bigger and better things by now.Nikrall wrote:http://www.testmasters.net/lsat/faculty.aspxGeist13 wrote:have you ever worked for ..... any sort of company whatsoever. I've never heard of it not being against company policy to give out personal information about employees. Full name is absolutely personal information.

Bottom of law school class + bad economy + growing debt = take whatever job you can get, 'cause it won't be one in law.BigA wrote:I'm surprised how many of them already have their J.D.s Is this normal? I think this is just the list of potential instructors that are qualified to conduct their courses. I'd imagine if you went through each of their course offerings this fall only about half that list would be represented.Always Credited wrote:Bottom of law school class + bad economy + growing debt = take whatever job you can get, 'cause it won't be one in law.BigA wrote:I'm surprised how many of them already have their J.D.s Is this normal? People who would know this: 1) long-time users who create alts, and 2) shills.mlbennani wrote:Maybe I wanna know to avoid something like this:Audio Technica Guy wrote:How is having someone's last name going to tell you if its worth 1295? Genuinely curious. Don't mean to offend dooder.

Also, people who say "I just called [X] by phone" (yes, emphasis mine) have bigger problems than their LSAT tutors.

Don't let one person's bad experience spoil powerscore's rep...
my instructor was by far the most knowledgeable/likeable/patient person I could of asked for. TBH we had a substitute one day and it just made me realize how lucky we were to have him... I just figured all instructors were like him.

OP, how about you give us your first + last name so we can, similarly, avoid morons?

Re: I am so disappointed with Powerscore!!!
You guys are being too harsh. If you see a difference in policy between two test companies or between two places you're going to invest in, it's just natural to raise a question as per the difference. OP probably over-reacted by saying he was disappointed, but imagine if you were really determined to spend money in one product, which you really credit, only to discover at the last minute that a competing product is slightly better in a certain feature, wouldn't you be disappointed?
With all that said, however, OP, personal information is something you don't want the entire world to know, unless you are a celebrity. If Powerscore wanted to reveal their instructors' personal information, they might have to pay them more, which would inflate the cost of the course; if they didn't pay them extra, they could deter some really good instructors. Moreover, I don't think knowing the instructor's name in advance will benefit you in any way: how can you find out about the merit of a teacher just by knowing his name? Even the LSAT score doesn't indicate the ability of teaching. Testmasters provide their prospective students with instructors' information because they want to convince them that their teachers definitely scored high and are smart. But in order to provide such guarantee for their service, Testmasters probably had to inflate the cost of their courses and focus on the degrees of their employment applicants rather than their true ability to teach you the LSAT. They have their own marketing strategy, which makes sense to some people and not so much to others. Remember, however, that there is no free lunch.
