that is so dope man. congrats. you must be on top of the world.jdstl wrote:I definitely got lucky on the real test. I averaged 174 on PT's, and the highest I ever made was a 179, which I only got once.
I felt like I had an average performance on test day, so I was expecting a 173-174, hoping for a 175-176. Ended up with a -0/-0/-0/-1 [LR/LR/RC/LG] for a 180. I attribute this to a) luck and b) hyper test day focus eliminating careless mistakes.
This was so unexpected, it's completely changing my approach to the cycle.

Re: JUNE LSAT 2010 - How do you feel about your score?
-6 LG
-9 LR
-11 RC (wow...wtf happened here...PTed at an avg of -1 to -3 on this section).
In an ironic twist apparently I aced the "controversial" last game but bombed the mulch one. :p
And thus, my score, a 160. I was shooting for a 170, and I really don't know if law school in this economic climate is worth it to me if I can't get into the 170+ T-14 schools. So this might be sayonara.
Granted, my PTing on average was around a 167-168, so it was a reach in the first place, but nevertheless. Disappointing.
Maybe I'll retake, sometime soon. In any case, back to my "real" career/life...time to pick up the pieces and figure out what I'm going to do next with myself.

Mostly it will make the whole process a lot less stressful, I can be fairly confident of my chances outside of black boxes like Y and S.

Yeah, I'm ecstatic I hit the fabled 170, but I wish it was a little higher. I'm a super splitter so I really wanted that 173 for an NU ED. I'm going to take this and run with it though. feels good to be done with. Good luck on the cycle. Cheers!jdstl wrote:More shocked than euphoric now, but I'm sure that will come.FuManChusco wrote:that is so dope man. congrats. you must be on top of the world.jdstl wrote:I definitely got lucky on the real test. Re: JUNE LSAT 2010 - How do you feel about your score?
Knowing that my PTs were +6/7 better, and knowing why they were better -- not having to do with the difficulty of the questions -- has me knowing what I need to do leading up to October's test.
I'm not stuck with the score or its range, and I know it doesn't properly reflect my abilities. So...retake. I'm not worried about the retake, either.

I got a 160, 2 pts better than my PT average. Honestly, I don't know whether I got really really lucky, or if I was just super focused because it was the real deal. I'm a strong consider on LSP at my #1 choice (T2, near my home/family) with my GPA and I am very, very happy right now.
Congrats to all who got what they wanted, and to those who didnt -- don't give up!

PT average: 171.5 with a range of 166-176 (that's JUST the 2-3 weeks before the test...pretty big range!).
Got a 171 today!! I'm overall extremely excited. I honestly couldn't really tell how I did after the test and I feel that this just makes sense. While of course part of me had that crazy irrational optimism that i got like a 173+, I was more leaning towards high 160s and having to retake it. So glad that's not happening!!!

Well, I got a 162. I beat my old score by 7 points...I gotta be content with that. I think each person has a max with this test and I have reached it. Plus, for the schools Im looking at its aboe the 75%...so cheers!

160. Really not pleased. I did the whole sobbing in a corner while chugging wine bit. It was all very dramatic. Then I realized that I never wanted a T14. I want a state school and I can get into one and if I retake I'll surely get one because thhe median is a 161. Its still Top fifty and therefore top tier. My life is not over. I'm mostly just writing this to assure myself its true. Well, Nook money, you are now going toward the purchase of powerscore bibles and more practice tests. Goodie.

I feel very good, I wanted a 168, got a 169. However having gotten so close to 170 I wish I had one more right. It turns out I erased the credited response on Question 11 on the 1st LR for some reason and never filled it back in, so that would be by 170 right there. I did get 2 of 3 guesses right on the last LG game though so I really cant complain. I am only going part time so 169 gets me in wherever I want go with some cash to boot.

171. Not what I had initially hoped for, as I was Pting in the 175 range, but I am thrilled nonetheless. I bombed the interns game, so I came our of it fearing sub-170s.
I misinterpreted the word "field" on the interns game, so I must be either illiterate or just stupid, yet somehow I was able to make a 171. Truly a miracle.

165, 1 below my PT average of 166. Median at the school I want to go to is 167, not sure how to feel right now.... maybe the beer will help me decide....

Congrats man. I know you were worried. Hopefully that 171 will get you into your target schools. It's truly a great score.Marionberry wrote:171. Goddamn you and your tactful reply, now I feel like a petty douche. Thanks, and I hope you do well in your cycle too, as you seem to be a decent enough human being. Honestly the comments about the interns game bugged me so much because I was sure that it would be the reason I didn't make a 170, but I managed to salvage my score in spite of it. I also got two of my guesses on that game right, somehow.FuManChusco wrote:Congrats man. I know you were worried. Hopefully that 171 will get you into your target schools. Yeah, I can be a dick, but I really do mean well. Hopefully no hard feelings. I sure have none. Here's to a good cycle for us top 2%'ers, haha. I can kiss that Roberto Cavalli dress goodbye! The money went to the TestMasters course I just signed up for! Starts tomorrow @ 10AM. (I missed the diagnostic test on Tuesday, b/c I wasn't really expecting this). But I'm still gonna finish off this bottle of wine tonight!!! Then it's AA and LSAT prep for the next 3 months.alicrimson wrote:160. Really not pleased. I did the whole sobbing in a corner while chugging wine bit. It was all very dramatic.
