I haven't taken the LSAT and thus have never seen the answer sheet that's returned with the scores. Is this the sort of Scantron that prints a letter next to each line of bubbles indicating which answer the machine "thinks" you bubbled?
It's not helpful for the Feb. takers, but if the Scantron indicates the response it's taking, and if you get an answer key, shouldn't you be able to figure out yourself whether handscoring will grab an extra point or two?

Re: Hand Scoring Request
How can you score 10 points below your PT average? Were you honest about filling in the scantron, working in a public place? Did you ever say "I would have gotten that right on the real thing?" and then given yourself the points? Did you time yourself exactly? Otherwise I just don't understand it. I couldn't sleep for days before my first LSAT, I was so stressed I could barely see the page, and I still scored only 3.5 points below my PT avg. I am pretty sure I would have to be wasted to score 10 points below my PT avg.

Re: Hand Scoring Request
I had nearly the same experience...
Numerous PTs in the 157-159 range and scored a 147 on February 2010 LSAT.
It's beyond depressing!!!

Re: Hand Scoring Request
I had the same experience, tested 9 points below my PTs and always tried to simulate testing conditions. I circled the questions on the right of the scantron to denote difficult questions, so hopefully the scantron scored incorrectly. Either way, taking it in June again. Great way to start your summer off. Not.

Re: Hand Scoring Request
Did anyone actually try for the hand scoring? What were your results if you've received them?
Just curious.
