Like the OP, I bought a Kaplan book and later bought the Powerscore Logic Games Bible. Even though I later took (most of) a Kaplan class that covered logic games in addition to the other sections, I still found that I preferred the Powerscore method for diagramming and attacking the LG questions. I highly recommend the LGB, at least for LG.

The LG Bible is indispensable, but after you go through it once or twice, if you're still not 100% confident on games, you might consider getting the Atlas/Manhattan LG guide. Its suggestions for how to approach IN/OUT and open distribution games are very good.
