Maybe just timed drill them if you're not feeling too hot on it, that way it won't give you the shakes. I did LR timed and that was my worst (-6/7 on 1 section) and went -0 with a clear head.

Probably shouldn't do anymore PT's IMO, best it can do at this point is reaffirm where you are, worst it can do is totally crush your confidence going into test day. I honestly think if you do do it, do it untimed and maybe don't score it. Don't want to mess with your psyche right now.
Yeah, I was thinking about how I could end up bombing one and ruining my confidence. At the same time I have this somewhat irrational feeling of being unprepared if I don't at least do the one fresh PT I have remaining (51) and also at least one of the pts in the 70s again since I haven't done one those since September and they feel a bit different than the 42-51 range. I'm on a roll so far though and am averaging a score nearly 4 points higher on my past three tests than I was prior to September (168 then vs. 171.6 now) and I have gotten a new best score since September (175 now vs. 172 then). Won't be doing any PTs after Wednesday though for sure.

MBT: Negate each answer choice, if the argument falls apart, that's the correct answer.

MSS: "MSS" is kind of a misnomer. One a/c is supported, the others are not. In that regard, I approach like strengthen/weaken questions.

Good luck, everyone!!! A few things that helped me on test day.

-Try to scope out the room in advance. Having a feel for the situation, and reminding yourself that it's just a room where you take another practice test, is key.
-Try to have your bag/snack/warmup all prepared a few days in advance, so there's nothing to stress about.
-I recommend taking the day off before. Go watch a movie or something.
-You may not be able to sleep. That's ok. I went about 40 hours without sleeping before I took the LSAT. Adrenaline will get you through it. Take your anxiety and convince yourself it's excitement.

-Above all, remember this is a practice test. In a month or so they will package it and sell it as another PT in their series, and other students will take it in their practice for the real thing. Remind yourself, over and over, that this is just a practice test, and that you have never been more prepared for anything in your life.

Taking the LSAT is like your wedding day. Nervewracking, exhausting, but overall a happy occasion.

Happy hunger games!

Thank you for the post. It came at the right time.

The way you describe how this is another PT was relieving. I've seen that mentioned before, but you put it in an appealing way. Your lack of sleep is also comforting.

Quick and slightly important question:

I have a presentation next week in class and was wondering if I should have a nice buzz going into it? Well, that's not my question actually bc I'm gonna drink anyways. My real question is wine or vodka?

Also, no I don't have "stage fright" during presentations, I just want to drink before it.

I'm really torn on taking a PT today. It's been a week since I've taken one, but it was a retake 179 on a plane so I was obviously very happy with the score and wouldn't mind ending on that one. I just feel like 12 days with no PTs and just drilling is a little dangerous.

Take one and don't grade it.

I am entirely too OCD for that, haha! It would drive me crazy to not know how I did. I'm just going to go ahead and take one, and throw in an extra LR section so I'll have more LR to review.

AIght 173.5 is my average over 20 tests, If I get -3 from that I will be happy. Going to refine RC and LG in the next few days. Probably log off TLS for the next couple of days, see you guys/gals on the other side!

Feeling really pumped, good, etc, etc!

RC -5
LR - 3
LG - 6
LR - 3

165

(Yeah, yeah, not TLS 170+, but way more than what I need. This margin of safety has me feeling really good. Very doubtful I drop past 158, right??? RIGHT!)

/Canuck disclaimer, not apping to Cooley.

I'm almost not nervous??

Decided on (re)taking PT79 this morning.... pretty disappointed in my performance since this is a retake. (guess I should have listened!)

LR1: -3
RC: -5
AR: -2
LR2: -3

Score: 88/169

What's especially notable is that six of the 13 I missed are ones I got right on the actual test day. wtf. But maybe it's worse that the remaining seven are ones I got wrong the first time and they still got me this time. Still, I'd gladly take a 169 over the 162 I got first time around. I think RC is more difficult in the 70s than in earlier test ranges for sure. Hard to put a finger on the way in which it's more difficult though. Also, idk how tf I aced the virus game first time around. Only reason I feel I got it this time was because I had done it before.

Anywho, PT51 tomorrow and that's the last one.

I got into this in the September's Waiters thread (maybe it should just be renamed Welcome December Waiters), but a 165 is still a fantastic score. TLS is a great resource, but sometimes can help foster really unhealthy attitudes IMO. a 165 is still better than (I forget exactly, but a 167 is 94%) more than nine out of ten test takers. It's a score that 90% of every test taker would love to have. Be proud of it, and strive to do the best you can. It's fine to set the bar high, but we just need to keep perspective on things.

Doing packet of disagree questions... I guess they are called "point" questions by Cambridge. I feel like for some questions the whole read one and eliminate first works really well, and others it doesn't seem to work as well (i.e. eliminate a bunch of answers)...I think it's still a good way to approach those though.

If anyone has good explanations they typed up for any remotely considerable amount of questions, PM me. I have a project I'm about to launch and I'd love any support :).

Yeah, I had to get over that, even though a 170 was never anywhere near needed for me, you still get into the comparisons thing.

I never quite figured out LG (I think possibly at most a handful of times I've gone -2 or better, literally, over the million LG sections I've done). I think 167 is perhaps the average of the school with the highest LSAT entrance in Canada.

LG is tricky. I think people need to sort of mix and match from various sources to make their own system. I think, if one relies too heavily on a given system they are taught, that the weird LGs become intolerable, as you only remember how they did some different weird game. Like I do not do logic games the way most people do. If you see my booklets, I rarely write anything for LGs. I feel like it's pretty unusual where a game benefits from such a way in splitting boards as opposed to just making sense of it in my head. The rare exception are games like the game 3 from the other day that are super open ended. Typically, I write the rules and only really do boards to further my understanding of the game.
