Yay for 100 pages. Yeah it seems that I have this dichotomy when faced with a flaw question. It either takes 40 seconds and is incredibly easy, or it takes 2:00 and I am not sure when selecting an answer.Learn_Live_Hope wrote:Flaw for me too today. Same here. I get stuck!!! Every answer seems so tempting, and the right choice rarely makes senseToby Ziegler wrote:Yay for 100 pages. When are you starting with your 100 questions? What level are you working on?

Re: The Official September 2014 Study Group
I work until 3 (mountain time), so right after that. I have done the first 121 questions and only missed 3 so far. So I will do the rest of level 2 questions and all of level 3 questions. Something that is hard for me is the fact that I studied Philosophy in UG and when I identify a flaw I think, "Oh, that's a False Dichotomy fallacy." Or, "That's a Strawman." So a lot of this drilling is helping me to identify quickly what the LSAT names for these fallacies are. The nice thing, I've found with Flaw questions, is the fact that (for the most part) all of the shells and answer choices are recycled, so doing enough of them seems to be give you the "muscle memory" of the questions. If that makes sense..Learn_Live_Hope wrote:Same here. I get stuck!!! Every answer seems so tempting, and the right choice rarely makes senseToby Ziegler wrote:Yay for 100 pages. They are such a big part of LSAT though…we need to get them right! I guess most of the time..

It's not the easiest with a spouse, kids, and near a full time job. Are you a morning person?HRomanus wrote:I am so jealous of you guys who can study like this during the weekdays.

No I don't think so, just like anything else you adapt and it becomes normal. Also having kids gives you the unfair advantage of forcing you into being a morning person. I try to do 2 hours of study before work (I don't feel guilty being away from my family when they're sleepingHRomanus wrote:Jeez you have it worse than me. My girlfriend is coming back to college (I live 30 minutes away from it) this weekend and I'm not excited. I am exited to see her, but not looking forward to putting her off to study.smccgrey wrote:Yeah I have exactly the same situation, but without kids. I'm pretty determined to cook full home cooked meals as much as possible too, and my SO doesn't cook at all so my evenings are usually pretty busy (LG while stirring the pasta sauce? It's happened.)
But obviously the pros outweigh the cons!

Same kind of situation. I'm lucky that my SO doesn't expect to spend much time with me!

Starting to feel like I don't have enough time to improve before Sept 27. It's possible, right?

Yep. If you can study for 25 hours a week for the next 6 weeks that's 150 hours of study.ilikebaseball wrote:You can definitely improve. There's still 6 weeks left... 6 WEEKS.hillz wrote:Starting to feel like I don't have enough time to improve before Sept 27. It's possible, right?

Around 170/171 average for past 5 PTs or so. I underperformed in June, so I've been drilling more this time around. Really want to break 170 but am nervous I won't.HRomanus wrote:Where are you at now? I usually study ~1 hour on weeknights and 10 hours total on weekends. I guess I could bump it up but I'm also worried about getting burnt out.

I think you're in a great place. And being a retaker I think you have a unique advantage that first time takers don't have. If you're able to really shore up your weaknesses from the first take coupled with the confidence of a first take (meaning you know exactly what to expect) under your belt you will be golden.hillz wrote:I usually study ~1 hour on weeknights and 10 hours total on weekends.
