Re: December 2013 Retakers
For some reason I've been weirdly relaxed given that the exam is in basically a week. It's a really weird place to be in.

I'm still quietly putting in the work, so it's not for lack of motivation. idk. I've read about how different test day is, but I can't help but think of this as just another test (that I've happened to study for 4 months for).
At this point I just want it done. It's taken over 4 months of my life that I won't be getting back, no matter how hard i try. I want to live it up for a little bit, again lol.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
Based on the recent tests only, I'd say there will be a fairly easy LG with 2 tiered ordering, 1 grouping, and 1 combo (but none of them being that tough), a standard RC, with no brutal passage but a couple dense ones that make u be very careful on timing, and then above average difficulty LR.
This is definitely not my ideal test, but it seems like the LSAT is heading in that direction.

Yup. It's like, oh, Harry Potter's on. Watching that seems more important than studying for the LSAT.dosto wrote:Same it freaking sucks. I felt the same way at my third take. I did horribly on Oct.
I'm currently of the opinion that I basically slipped as I slacked off more and more from my truly prepared state sometime in June/July (was supposed to take the June test but chickened out because of nerves).
Do not slack off. Work your ass off.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
Me too. I did nothing today. I think it was a product of getting my highest PT score on my last PT and the 25 page paper I had to do. But tomorrow I'm getting back to it and Sunday I'm doing a PT. Then one more on Tuesday/Wednesday.For some reason I've been weirdly relaxed given that the exam is in basically a week. It's a really weird place to be in.
I actually feel much better about my chances this time. At this point in October/late September, my PT scores were dropping. Now, my PT scores are peaking. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
Everyone and their mother went out on the town last night and had a blast (the one that got away even hit me up telling me to come out) while I went to bed at 10:30. Woke up to a buncha drunk people partying at my house at 2:45. Now it's time to PT

Heading to my test site! I'll bring a couple sections to take if it's open. It doesn't hurt to try.

PT70: holy sh*t this was tough
RC −1
LG −0
LR25 −5
LR26 −4
SPB LGX −1
171
Worst LR of all time, barely finished in time, whereas I finished RC with 3 mins to go and LG with 5 mins to go. But seriously, this LR, I did the first section and was like WTF.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
Just finished 67... Completely destroyed me. Lowest PT score since I've started prepping for our retake. Really sucks to see this happening a week before the real thing. I'm not sure whether it's from just being burnt out with this whole process or the fact that my drilling has been light the last couple of weeks. This really sucks.

What? You did better on the second one than the first one? Props. The 2nd LR destroyed me. Let me know if you want to review it sometimes this upcoming week, preferably before wednesday.OVOXO wrote:PT70: holy sh*t this was tough

Don't let one bad PT discourage you. Here's a piece of advice from Daily_Double. Try not to grade your PT at this point. Instead, focus on blind review. Sure you'll still check your answers, but don't bother looking at the score chart. Especially if you are completely set on taking the test on Saturday. There's no point trying to gauge where you are at in terms of score wise, your job right now is to find your weakness and eliminate them as much as possible.lsatyolo wrote:Just finished 67... What PTs would you prioritize taking at this point?
I planned on doing a PT a day with drilling, but I've realized I might be better off just laying off a little and not go so hard.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
My RC scores have been dropping consistently over the last 5 PTs. Anyone have any advice at this point? Everything else has been fairly consistent but it just seems weird that I've completely lost touch with that section...
I've gone -4, -5,-8,-9 on 67,68,69,70 respectively

That makes me feel a lil better. Thanks, bra!

Yeah I went too. I was pretty bummed. Hopefully it'll be an easy campus to navigate... :/

Re: December 2013 Retakers
Not sure what's going on, but I went down 2 points on a retake of 51 today, and I appear to be declining in LR, once again getting -6 or worse.
169 (171)
LR -6 (-4)
LG -0 (-3)
RC -6 (-3)
SP C LR1 -3
I'm very discouraged and frustrated. I know I've only done some light drilling of RC since Oct, but I shouldn't be hitting -6, particularly since that's 3 points WORSE than my original take of the section. What the fuck?
When it comes down to it, I'd take -6 LR on test day since that's still 3 better than the Oct take. But I need to be doing as I was with RC (-3 average and on an upward trend) to feel more comfortable going in. The problem is I've seen all the most recent sections more than twice, so I explicitly recall much of the content and it's just nothing like a real section. I might have to buy some ancient sections just for practice.
I ate exactly what I would on test day (oatmeal and synchro) and did it about an hour and 15 minutes before I started the test, to be a bit realistic.
