If scores were going to be released today, when would we see the change from green to gray?

My boss and I were talking during our 1:1 meeting about a recent death in my family which made me miss 1 day of work. She then responded - "don't people die a lot in your family and young too? didn't your dad die in his 30s, and your cousin at 14." then she proceeds to laugh and says "did your family piss off that blue God you guys have and your family is now cursed!' followed by ha ha ha ha ha."

I'm half Indian, that's what she meant by the blue God.
Holy hell. That would easily be fireable at my company
If it makes you feel better, I also had a shitty awful bitch of a boss (pardon the language) and I left my job recently. I didn't even tell my best friend cause I knew she'd get judgey but my parents supported it. Gives me time to focus on my fitness goals, traveling, getting ready for school, among other things.
I just can't get over the guilt of having my mom pay for everything. She's a single mom, so i overthink everything. I have a car payment and a little bit of credit card debt, which she says she'll help me pay but I still can't. I don't know. Ugh I hate being an adult.

If y'all think any of your bosses have been bad, just wait until you start working at a big firm that requires 2,400+ billable hours.

I just look at everything I've been going through as a cake walk compared to what that's going to be like.

I just look at everything I've been going through as a cake walk compared to what that's going to be like.

I worked for a consulting firm where I did anywhere from 18-20 hours of a work per day, 7 days a week, managed 20 resources, on a 25 million dollar project, and across 20 countries, while travelling for the project every week from CA to Boston.

I loved my boss there, hence the work didn't seem bad at all. She'd wake me up at 4 AM sometimes to ask a question. Didn't care, I loved the job. It was challenging and the people I worked with were ambitious and smart.

Now my hours 9-5, and crap boss = worst time of my life. People are lazy, zero ambition, and more opinionated than anyone else I know.

So, I don't care about the number of hours. I care more about who the hell I work with.

i kind of get what you're saying because i'm in a similar boat (my parents aren't financially well off), but i also tell myself that soon enough i'll be supporting them financially and it helps ease the mental load a little
