My UG record is abysmal -- I can't put together worthwhile LoR from professors. I'd consider a stretching my family's Ph.D record to a third generation, but it would almost certainly be within history or polisci, and the job market there is... eh.flash21 wrote:is anyone else applying to grad school?
Maybe some years down the road.

sorry i meant if anyone doesn't get into LS -- applying to grad school as fall back type thing.
In the states you guys MUST do the GRE for grad school or am I mistaken? You Americans love your standardized tests.

Yeah I think it helps employment opportunities here in Canada, however the degree to which could be debated. I have a legitimate interest in doing an M.A. so I feel like it'd be better than a year doing nothing / working in a crappy job if I didn't get into LS.gamerish wrote:In the States at least, grad school isn't exactly a good backup for anyone not in STEM.flash21 wrote:sorry i meant if anyone doesn't get into LS -- applying to grad school as fall back type thing.

I left work early to go. I scored fee waivers, but you could also just email admissions. Also, the swag was lame compared to college job fairs. The handouts that the law schools give might help with an essay on why you want to attend a certain law school...you could also just google. If you had any specific questions, you could obviously ask there.le_sat wrote:Would be interested to hear. You can get fee waivers for top schools by emailing admissions?!legit wrote:I left work early to go. I scored fee waivers, but you could also just email admissions. I've considered JD/MBA, but I have a decent amount of undergrad business/real world experience so I'm considering LLM banking/financevenusinfurs16 wrote:Anybody applying to any dual-degree programs?flash21 wrote:Yeah I think it helps employment opportunities here in Canada, however the degree to which could be debated. Yes, merit waivers. Politely email them, notifying them of your LSAT score, GPA and LSAC account # asking for a waiver. Lots of schools will give them to you, some won't.le_sat wrote:You can get fee waivers for top schools by emailing admissions?!legit wrote:I left work early to go.
