Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
I finally got the -0 LG on a PT (46). It was the most stressful LG section I've had to date. I blanked on the second game last question and did game 3 with a backwardly diagrammed rule, which I noticed on the last question. When I finally noticed, I redid the questions and finished the last question in game two with about 7 seconds left.
Ended up going -7 overall for a 172.

I think I used the sections from that PT as experimentals. I couldn't take the huge score drop that I would've seen if I had taken it as a whole test. It was either that test, or 48, whichever one has the shittiest curve ever.Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Eww that curvezkyggi wrote:I finally got the -0 LG on a PT (46). Just did PT 63. Easiest PT ever with the exception of the science passage (oceanic geology) in RC which absolutely disemboweled me.
Super happy with my score though, even though I honestly thought I did better.
LR: -0
LG: -1 (stupid mistake)
LR: -0
RC: -5 (-3 on the science passage fuck geology)
95/101
174

Luckily, the raw score was a welcome improvement, so I don't mind the scaled score much. Although, a 175+ would be nice...Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:I think there's one where the curve is -7 for 170Mikey wrote:I think I used the sections from that PT as experimentals. PT test 60 today; LR 1: -1, LG: -2 (FACK), LR 2: -3, RC: -3, 172 overall (holla to that curve). Really quite upset with my LG performance, I set up game 4 like I had never done a game before and thus below 2 points. Also dropped all 3 RC points on passage 1, which I thought was hard, but not the hardest. Been stuck at 172 average for about a month now. Really hoping my 175+ breakthrough comes soon.grandpapy360 wrote:Drilled RC today. F*#k riddled basins.

YUCK. That's a confidence destroying test. Imagine walking out of the test feeling like it was super easy, definitely less than 10 wrong, maybe a 172-3 if luck is on your side. Instead, you go -8 and get a 169.Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:

Weird, I got a 172 on PT 60 today too. I've gotten 172 on my past two tests with a -7 and a -9. I'm liking the raw score improvement.
-2, -0, -2, -5 (RIP to my score)

Congrats on the improvement! I've been stuck around 172 for what feels like an eternity. I was just happy to see that curve. What passages gave you the most trouble on RC?zkyggi wrote:

Thank you. I think I just broke a plateau. I am probably at another one now without even realizing it.Platopus wrote:Congrats on the improvement! I missed 2 in the first passage and 1 in each of the other 3. I'm going to review them tomorrow but not getting any perfect passages is a pretty bad performance for me.

Plan: Wake up at 8, study from 8:30 to 12:30, get on with my day.
Actuality: Wake up at 9:30, shitpost on TLS until 12, half-ass study until 1.

I'm sitting here reading about studying for the LSAT as I put off reviewing a PT. I feel your pain.MediocreAtBest wrote:Plan: Wake up at 8, study from 8:30 to 12:30, get on with my day.

Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
Hi everyone! I'm looking for some LSAT advice. I'm currently registered for the June test and started studying in early March. I'm wondering if I should take the June test (as planned) with a retake, if necessary, in September, or switch my date to the September test altogether.
I'm using PowerScore's 3-month study plan and take my first PT this weekend. It hit me a few days ago that I might have wanted to start taking PT's sooner but I was trying to follow the study plan.
I've heard that multiple retest don't necessarily hurt your chances and schools only consider your highest score. But I don't have the best GPA and I don't want to leave anything up to chance.
Any advice helps. Thanks!

Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
I would say, take 2/3 PTs and see what average score you get! Is it near to your goal? However, for what I heard 2 different LSAT scores don't affect your chances in any way. I might be wrong (never applied).chewinggum wrote:Hi everyone! I'm looking for some LSAT advice. I'm currently registered for the June test and started studying in early March. That game sucked ass, but I remember when I first did it, I could answer most of the questions without really knowing what kind of diagram to do just based off of the rules and inferences. Did you guess on that game or did you try it?InterLaw wrote:That.Mikey wrote:Was that the one with the airplane game?InterLaw wrote:PT 40 yesterday, I want to burn it.
