Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
Hey guys anyone have an input on the Manhattan LSAT prep course Live vs online?
I did the kaplan online prep, on test day I panicked blanked out did horribly (Feb 15). Planning on retaking in June. I understand most of the kaplan methods, because I spent a lot of time on it.
Im following some of the advice I found here. Bought the 12 week study plan from lawschooli and about to buy Powerscore LG bible and LSAT Trainer on amazon.
Anyone have anything to add that I should be doing?

The Kaplan course just isn't that great IMO. I wouldn't invest in another course because they tend to focus on basic stuff, but I would get the Manhattan books if I were you. I wish I had gotten them much sooner. They might've been more effective then. Back to the shadows...Buddha180 wrote:Hey guys anyone have an input on the Manhattan LSAT prep course Live vs online?

I wouldn't mind investing in another course. Thanks for your feed back. Excited to hear what others think about the steps I'm taking and my question about the Manhattan course.RaiderRed wrote:The Kaplan course just isn't that great IMO. I wouldn't be into a live course.
I like Manhattan LR & RC books.
Look into 7Sage or Velocity. More cost effective probably.

So, Ditch the LSAT Trainer, Get the Powerscore LG then Manhattan for LR and RC.Dirigo wrote:I wouldn't be into a live course.

See the first post for Rigo/everyone who knows anything about effective material's recommendation for books.Buddha180 wrote:I wouldn't mind investing in another course. Thanks for your feed back. Manhattan for LR/RC, PS for LG. 7sage for explanations, Cambridge for drills. LSAT trainer
Also, I never understood why people do the courses. In order to score high you usually have to do more work than the courses provide, so it seems somewhat unnecessary to drop heavy dough on courses.

Lsat is slowly but surely proving my stupidity. Anyways, on advanced linear games with different variable subsets, do you guys stay horizontal even when things like floors come into play. LGB has an example with a hotel and floors going up vertically 1-5 but I think personally it is better to stay horizontal, I just wanted to know if that becomes an issue later

I do vertical too in these instances.santoki wrote:floors, stacked boxes - i went vertical. its just easier to visualize and sometimes you might confuse the number system you use, as to whether which number is higher or lower than the otherbetterLawyerUP wrote:Lsat is slowly but surely proving my stupidity. I laughed out loud at that. But I'm guessing he or she means editions-wise.Shakawkaw wrote:

Related question: how the hell do you have 8000 posts?! You're this omnipresent TLS authority and you haven't even been to law school yet. According to your profile you've been here for a shorter time than I have, and I still have well under 1000 posts.Dirigo wrote:If I had a dollar for every rando who pm'd me, I'd be one very rich HLS bitch.Shakawkaw wrote:There are literally only three.rando wrote: PM'd you about which MLSAT books to get.
