Yep, also in Indiana there are several people here who get pissed about anyone wanting to take down the confederate flag. Although as one of my professors once said, we are the northernmost southern state.
I have never heard Indiana referred to as southern in anyway. Strange indeed....

Maybe not in the big metro areas like Indianapolis, South Bend..but I can testify as someone who has spent time in southern Indiana and multiple other Southeastern states that there seemed to be just as many redneck people per capita in southern Indiana than as in the south (yay for anecdata)

If it weren't for the river, it'd be hard to tell where Northern Kentucky ends and southern Indiana begins.
