If I'm happy with a 172 or above, is it a safe bet to register for the February LSAT PTing at 170 now?
hate to break it to ya but asking the same question multiple times (on the same page espec) isn't going to cause people to respond any quicker kiddo....

that PT is fantastic, but as you said the last one was 164, what was ur highest b4 then? You have 1 PT where you want to be at and atm that means very little. You know you are at least capable of that score, but will you get it again if you PT tm? what about friday? who knows... you have another 2 weeks b4 registration deadline (and forever until you actually go to LS) calm down. if you are afraid the TC you want will be full go ahead and register if not ready then pay the 85 to change to June(or withdraw and spend another 170 on fresh registration if decided to push back too late) registering now won't commit you to taking Feb... if you feel ready to get what you want to get go for it, if not hold off, again you have time to register. Keep studying, keep reviewing, keep drilling... if you stay around that PT avg or better than go for it. -5 in LG is silly and you should be able to knock that down in time. if you are still improving why settle bc "you would be happy with 172" when you could be avg 176+ in a month or 2

Sorry! I clearly need to study social skills before studying for the LSAT.

And I got a 159 diag and a 164 a few days later, and those were about a week and a half ago. Since then I studied a bit, though not really drilling, and the 170 was the first score I've gotten since then.

Thanks for the input!

then stop worrying about registering and worry about studying for a 180

eta: unsure if you're extreme desire to take when clearly not having maxed out your potential is a clever way of hiding the fact that you're Scholarly or not... you're not fooling any1 :P

Well, it's mainly that I'm wary of taking it in London in June, but I also don't want to wait until September for fear of burnout.

no one says you need to go absolutely crazy all the way until September, I don't think it will kill you to take breaks to avoid burnout, just make sure you don't stop completely. Weigh each option, take it when you are ready and will score the best you can rather than other factors. again, you have like 2 weeks till registration deadline, realistically you are the only one who knows when you max out and cannot increase your score any higher

I think if I kept going I could get 177, or at least in that ballpark, given that my main problem is with LG. Would taking in a different country screw me up though? That's my main concern.

well of course, anything could screw you up... will it? who knows. but when you have so much time until LS I find rushing into the test a tad silly. (you're not apply next cycle right? you're applying the one after that? or am I remembering incorrectly)

Haha chill out Sweets. Congrats on your 171, but listen to Jgoods. There is no rush for you to take it. If you are already getting high PT scores then keep studying and try to get as high a score that you can, don't be happy with a 172 in Feb if you can get higher later. Even if you don't take it until September, I doubt you will burn out of you stretch out your studying.

Alright, thanks for talking me through this, everyone.

So I'll register for June if I feel ready/comfortable with taking in London. Good plan?

If you think that's when you will be ready then go for it. Just take it when you feel like you will maximize your score without rushing.
