Re: Overheard at the LSAT
Just trying to laugh through that tough 4th LG.
In the line heading up to the final registration before being seated, I was behind a very big girl saying this was her second time taking the exam. I wasn't really paying attention to her, but she was advising another guy ahead of us. When we reached the desk to hand in our ticket, she went through the registration and then, as if it was an afterthought, said, "I can't sit in these chairs because I have back problems. You need to accommodate me." The proctor she was speaking to nervously laughed, then stopped when she realized the girl was serious. The proctor told the girl, "Uh, you were supposed to inform the LSAC of any health issues we needed to accommodate you for at least two weeks prior to testing." The girl threw a fit. I guess she should've thought more about her own issues before advising anyone else. She ended up deciding to take the test in the lowly chairs the center offered.
Another girl got shut down very early before testing. Once again, I wasn't really focusing on anyone else's conversation, but I walked by a girl being told, "... You cannot take the test today, I know you have the materials, but you were supposed to sign up and pay online...". I hope I'm wrong, but it seems like someone decided they could just show up and take the test instead of signing up through the LSAC.

Re: Overheard at the LSAT
Posted this in the waiting thread, but in the middle of my second passage of RC, I started to hear mumbling. I ignored it, believing it to be outside noise of some sort. It got louder. I heard people shifting around in their chairs uncomfortably. All of the sudden, the mumbling amplified, the middle-age woman next to me was loudly reciting prayers during her LG session. The proctor was rattled and promptly dismissed her.

Re: Overheard at the LSAT
This girl got kicked out for having a cellphone, and she started yelling at the person who asked her to leave. Her words:
"But, that's exactly why I specifically read all of the signs [signs were posted around the entrance of the building displaying the testing center rules]!!!!!!!!!"
No idea what the hell she was talking about. WTF? Anyway, she genuinely sounded mystified that she was getting kicked out, and you could hear her yelling for a good five minutes or so outside the hallway.
This makes me feel slightly better about that last logic game and the fact that I don't know shit about orange guppies.

wtf is wrong with people
this is hilarious
Ooo yeah, I actually didn't want to talk to people because I was pretty positive I studied the most in the room.
Some other quotes I remember
"The experimental section is always the 4th or 5th section." She seemed shocked when I told her that is not true
One of the proctors pulled me out of line because she said I couldn't have an analog watch...wtf?
One kid asked me how many PT I've taken. He seemed to give me the evil eye when I said somewhere between 30 and 40

Re: Overheard at the LSAT
This is one of my all-time favorite threads here. Second perhaps only to the Indy TTTech thread.
My proctor today was an old, former hippie. I've had him as a proctor before on other tests. After he read the initial rules, he said this:
"Look, please don't make any marks after I call time, or look at your neighbor. It's a real drag for us. We have to fill out all of these forms and write a report. I don't know what the hell happens on the back end, but it's a real drag here, so please don't."

Re: Overheard at the LSAT
There were two highlights for me. I was in line talking to a friend about what snacks are good to eat during the break to maintain mental acuity, and a girl behind us butts in - "Ohh I brought gummy bears because I heard marathon runners eat them to maintain their energy, and this is like the same thing." I couldn't make this up if I tried - I don't think she did too hot on LR. Second was my proctor strugling to read the word "legibly" for a good five awkward and painful seconds, before finally saying "yea whatever" and moving on LOL. Poor guy looked more nervous than the people taking the test.

Re: Overheard at the LSAT
Hang on to your butts, this is a bad one (September 2014):
I was sitting next to two girls while waiting for the late-comers to shuffle in before 8:30.
One of them, whose name I know but will not post because it's too perfect, was talking very loudly and very animatedly to the girl next to her. The following what was said:
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
"BASICALLY MY ADVISER TOLD ME, LIKE, THAT I'M AN UNDER-REPORTED MINORITY AND THEY NEED MORE OF THOSE"
"Does that help you?
"YEAH A LOT. I THINK IM GONNA GET ABOUT A ONE FITTY ON THIS BUT THAT SHOULD BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR PRINCETON(!) AND OTHER CRAZY-ASS PLACES LIKE THAT"
"Wow, I'd love to have that"
"YEAH GURL YOU CAN DO IT TOO JUST SAY ON YOUR PAPER YOURE AN UNDER-REPORTED MINORITY AND THEY HELP YOU OUT. I THINK OBAMA'S DOING IT AS A PROGRAM"
"I'm really not though, ha ha (uncomfortable laughs)"
"EVERYBODY GOT SOME(?) IN THE BLOOD, GURL"
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I was so shaken it took me until the 2nd section to actually focus the majority of my attention on the exam.
Everybody got some in the blood, gurl will stay with me the rest of my life.
