But MY understanding is that they have to basically get everyone's answers, find any trends that may lead to thrown-out questions, adjust the scale, etc. I can see why this may be a timely process. 3 weeks? No...but definitely not a ~*bloop* send through scanner & you're done~ deal...
Can't imagine they'd make the scale ahead of time before seeing how actual participants perform to the difficulty levels...What do you guys think?
I wonder if they also go through the experimental stuff prior to releasing our scores, especially if they are close to "perfecting" a section and want to use it soon.
