ha!

Just got my first perfect LR section, but admitted there was about 3-4 guesses between 2 answers choices within those questions that I got correct which helped, and I reviewed them earlier. Nice to see what happens when those questions you reduce down to 2 answer choices go your way. Usually sitting at about -4,-6.

I just did PT65 which was the test I sat for in dec 2011 and got a 163. I haven't looked at any problems from it since the day I took my test almost 3 years ago.

I got a 167.

LR1: -3
LG: -2
RC: -9
LR2: -3

I'm happy I made improvements in LR but RC is really frustrating. My sections fluctuate between -3 and -9. If anybody has any tips that'd be great. I did -0 the experimental games Cambridge threw in so I guess that's something lol.

wow, sounds like if you got your reading comp consistently in the lower range you'd be in a great position

WHY DO I STILL HAVE TIMING ISSUES.
LR: I stick to first 15 in 15 minutes. The later questions in the section seem to slow me down.
LG: Gaining a better handle of LG, going under 8min45sec on the easier ones, but apparently still not affording enough compensation for the more difficult problems.

I don't notice anyone else here mentioning any unfinished problems. I choose not to guess randomly on the remaining ones, but regardless, I assume a great many of you LSAT wizards can give all of them a good read through. How!!!!!??
lol I feel your pain,

BRB drilling logic games for months relentlessly, still -7 , everyone else raging after getting -1

PT 51 - 172 (!!!)

LR1 - 2
LR2 - 2
RC - 5 (someone kill me)
LG - 0 (!!!)

Pretty stoked to tie my previous high of 172, and considering that was just two tests ago I'm feeling confident that that isn't just a lucky occurrence or something that's out of my reach. I have no idea wtf happened on RC though, and while I used to think that was my best I'm now realizing it's my most inconsistent. Hopefully with more consistent drilling I'll be able to get better and better at those.

would appreciate some advice PLEASE.

I am going to write in December, do you guys think there is any sense in me doing a PT anytime soon? Or just continue drilling? For reference, I have not done a full PT for many months.

One side of me is straight up scared to take one.

The other side is convincing myself it might actually not be useful since I can just use that time drilling instead and my actual test date is pretty far away.

Any thoughts here?

Drilling is great, but I think you should still get in the habit of doing a PT regularly. You'll be able to see your progress (which should motivate you) and figure out what you need to do, i.e. if there is a section you should drilling more than others or a specific type of question you need to practice.

Take a PT! I bet you'll feel better and not so anxious because you'll at least know where you stand.

But I know how you feel, because I totally get anxious before I take a PT.

I've been doing sections out of PT's, but I haven't done a full one yet for a very long time. I might do one soon, but I don't know about consistently yet. I might start consistently, 2x a week in September? I may do one sometime soon to see where I'm at doing it timed as a test though.. still scared for some reason even though been drilling for a while.

I bet you'll do better than you think! I was scared to do one after the June test but then when I did, I scored 7 points higher than my June score and it motivated me to keep studying for September.

Well, took PT 46.

Raw score: 83
Scaled score: 164

RC - -5, Seemed much harder than usual. The first passage was a joke, 2nd wasn't terrible, but the 3rd and 4th really threw me for some reason.

LR #1 - -2. Very pleased.

LR #2 - -5. Less pleased, but not too upset. Unfortunately, right around where my average is. Need to really cut it down to the -2 range.

LG - 4. I redid the section (I did it my first time at work, where people were around and it was super loud). Flew by 1-3 again (with perfect score this time) and really messed up # 4. I replayed the game like 3 times, and I think i'm good on it now, that wording in the answer choices caused me to diagram the all the conditional questions incorrectly.

Need to print out NA, + and PF packets and drill. Every single mistake I made in this LSAT came from those question types.

A perfect LG section seems more attainable now.

Also, does anyone have a packet of really open ended games for LG? Those are my biggest weakness. Thanks.

When you guys drill out of the Cambridge packets do you go in order? Or do you jump around/sequentially? I know they get progressively more difficult, so I'm not sure which would be better.

Ugh, I thought I was seeing improvements on RC but damn PT 33 just kicked my ass. -11 | -1, -2, -6 (science/global warming), -2. Haven't thoroughly reviewed yet. Used the 7sage app with distractions and background on two. Also had no clock so my only warning was 5 mins. The timing didn't seem to affect me (warning went off 2 questions into last passage) but maybe it caused me to rush in passage 3.
I feel the same way, I got -9 on pt65 RC today. It's frustrating when all my other sections were under -3.

Just took the same PT yesterday and I completely agree about that RC section. The last passage about legal theory was so convoluted I laughed halfway through.

I still seem to be all over the place with RC sections.
If you will, elaborate on this method.

holy shit guys.

Just got a 163 on my first PT in many months, I had a 139 diagnostic almost a year ago. PT 44, had some major distractions going on too. I think I actually could have done better, but I basically got screwed since people were talking a lot during where I was testing. Happened during the first section, which is RC, and of course I bombed this section the worst, not so bad though, usually get somewhere between 20-22.

Breakdown:

RC: -9
LR 1: -3
LR 2: -3
LG:-4

Feels pretty good. Was scared as hell to even take it lol. I felt kind of tired and irritable all day too, I think next time I PT if I feel a bit better I could maybe even do better, didnt think I'd be saying that any time soon. Going to take in December, hopefully I can get to the mid to high 160's, and if I break 170 on a timed test I'll probably lose my shit.

EDIT: experimental section

RC (since I'd hate this on the real test), PT 37

-6. This is about what I normally get on RC.
