I'm sure they will most likely release the scores around that time since nobody will be at LSAC, and people can't call them freaking out when they'll get their scores.bmathers wrote:I'm not expecting anything one way or the other till 5 pm EST tonight. From what I've gathered from the consultants' thread, no, they will only care about the highest and will not penalize you for trying to increase your acceptance / scholarship prospectsLuckyPen wrote:THANKS GUYS...WHO ELSE RE-WROTE AN OK SCORE? Unless you scored like a 130, it will have no impact on anything.LuckyPen wrote:THANKS GUYS...WHO ELSE RE-WROTE AN OK SCORE? (165+)...Will schools take back their acceptances if I didn't do as well?

Re: The Official February 2016 Waiter's Thread
No, and you'd know that if you'd just read the thread. Not to sound bitchy. A retake is almost foolproof...schools only have to report your highest score to USNWR so they'll consider your highest score. If you have a series of sporadic scores with a crazy about of retakes, then they might wonder what the heck is up...one retake with a lower score isn't gonna make a school revoke your acceptance.LuckyPen wrote:THANKS GUYS...WHO ELSE RE-WROTE AN OK SCORE? If you get rejected from a school and get higher on a retake can they reconsider their decision or is the rejection final?

Re: The Official February 2016 Waiter's Thread
Ok, question. So people on Reddit (idk why I'm even on there cause half of them don't even know anything) are under the impression that all LSAC has to do with our tests is scan them onto a computer and get the score...
But MY understanding is that they have to basically get everyone's answers, find any trends that may lead to thrown-out questions, adjust the scale, etc. I can see why this may be a timely process. 3 weeks? No...but definitely not a ~*bloop* send through scanner & you're done~ deal...
Can't imagine they'd make the scale ahead of time before seeing how actual participants perform to the difficulty levels...What do you guys think?

Re: The Official February 2016 Waiter's Thread
The rejection is typically final, although some schools have an appeal process within 30 days of rejection...depends on the school. Look on the school's website. I've never heard of anyone ever doing this so that's all I've got.jnwa wrote:If you get rejected from a school and get higher on a retake can they reconsider their decision or is the rejection final?
