dirigo that was a very tls response snarky, yet to the pointLSATdreaming wrote:I'm not up to date on the hip text speakDirigo wrote:Yes. lol <--- "laugh out loud"LSATdreaming wrote: "In my opinion" is abbreviated IMO, right?. I'm on older applicant (graduated undergrad in 2007).
Alright! Older applicants unite! I've been working in a non-profit for a few years. What do you do, Dirigo? You must have some good advice from hanging out with the waitersDirigo wrote:Find a nice middle-ground.LSATdreaming wrote:LSAT related question: when you guys do an RC passage, how much notating do you do? I've been experimenting with no notation to a lot of notation, and I don't really notice a difference between the two. What does everyone else do?
Think of it like highlighting. Highlighting nothing is the same as highlighting everything.
Do you underline to notate? I've been developing a system of asterisks, underlines and exclamation points.Dirigo wrote:!!!!Possible PT48 Spoiler!!!!
For example, these are the only things I noted in a recent passage:
earliest known examples of representational art
Aurignacians
secure life
high level of quality suggests that Aurignacian art was created by distinct group of artists
Curiously
unlikely that these representational cave paintings arose simply out of a love of beauty or pride in artistry
also intended to provide a means of steady supply of food
gain power over animal by making an image of it
grant magical power
also evidence that ceremonies of some sort were performed before these images

From what I understand, Kaplan is a notoriously bad prep company.LSATgotrocked wrote:I spoke to a former Kaplan instructor and he told me to "read as fast as possible" and "don't notate." I guess it depends on the person but I used his method and I didn't do as well as when I notate things.

I've been going anywhere from -3/-6 per section. Looking to get that down to -0 by the test date so I can get a 180 with you, DirigoDirigo wrote:Bolded items I circled. Sometimes I write a few words next to a section.
I'm still developing a process that works for me though, so don't hold what I do as superior.
