Re: December 2013 Retakers
A lot of one-upping going on in here. Haha. (I'm going to do the games from 50-70 jk)
I (re)kicked off my studies with a PT yesterday and today (55 and 63). Going to grade and review now. Keep up the strong work in here; I'm seeing really good scores all over this thread.

Yeah. Probably the easiest test I've seen especially the RC. I'm definitely going to focus on 60s tests from here forward.bee wrote:taking 55 tomorrow, dont remember a thing about it. was it super easy? if so i might just do a 3rd take of an early 60s test. im afraid my lr scores are getting skewed and i need to put myself through the paces again.snagglepuss wrote:A lot of one-upping going on in here. eta personally for me it's three more PTs and LR/LG drills starting Thursday since I can't do anything until then.

I'm blanking on which test it is, I think PT 51 with 28 question RC and 22 LG... I will punch a baby if that happens again

haha different strengths. I'd take a first of 25 question LG with a 25 section RC in a heartbeat. I can dream right?bee wrote:^ dream testThorcogan wrote:I'm blanking on which test it is, I think PT 51 with 28 question RC and 22 LG... I will punch a baby if that happens again

Also, try to stay off TLS the week before the test (as hard as that sounds)! Being around a bunch of other neurotic folks can't possibly help, and it might even hurt.
As always, keep it loose and try to have some fun when you can. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xHDxcZRBAg

I think this is great advice. I think I'm going to start doing that.

Off topic, but I'm currently extremely jealous of people who can drop everything and study for the LSAT. Who needs work? Do I really need to pay rent this month?

Re: December 2013 Retakers
Was not in the mood at all to take PT today and it is reflected in score:
PT 64: 173 (retake from a 167 a few months back)
LR: -1
LG:-2
LR:-2
RC:-6
Three misbubbles on RC
And this LG seemed longer than most. I don't mind tricky LG's like Mauve as much as those LG's that make you draw out a ton of scenarios (game 3). One wrong mark and it's practically -5 or more. Messed up on a scenario and rushed on the last game. Basically, PT 70 all over again
. On the bright side, this PT did have a generous curve.
I'm gonna get up bright and early tomorrow to review my last 4 PTs again.

Sorry to hear that. This test demands your full preparation. Take a couple of weeks off, clear your head, study hardcore, and crush the test when you do decide to take it.superdingle2000 wrote:Just withdrew (my studying has been REALLY shitty). Good luck everyone!

Re: December 2013 Retakers
Just took another PT. A serious issue is beginning to come up that I need to fix.
PT 52 (Fresh-ish. I might have taken the test before, but it was a long time ago and I've forgotten it)
LR 1 -2 (Solid. This is what I want on Dec 7th.)
LG -0 (Awesome
)
LR 2 -7
(This is the second time this has happened. I'm starting to get concerned. It happened on the last PT, and I'm going to drill LR until it doesn't happen again. Not sure if its mental fatigue or LR problems)
RC -3 (I'm content with this)
Exp. -2 (Also LR)
88/ 169. If I switched my exp. with my LR2 I'd have a 174.
But I have been getting 169s constantly, so I'm not too mad. I'm hoping that things start getting better soon and I don't have a bad section on test day though.
Any tips for fixing this?
I'm going to drill LR until I go crazy.

Sure does. I don't think I'm going to attempt to retake any more though. February would probably be the latest administration that would be worth it and I'm going to be in South America then (apparently there are no test locations there for the Feb. test).
Oh well.
Best of luck.

I'm only planning on doing 2-3 PT's from now until DDAY. Where are you guys at with this?

Great advice, Dosto. I really need to adjust my mindset.
I have three PTs for this week and three PTs for next week. I also need to fit in some drills.

Does anyone find it helpful to do a full LR section before they PT? or just a few problems should suffice?

I used to, but then I just stopped. Don't really see any difference now. It might just be because I am starting to get apathetic about the test sigh.Nicolena. wrote:Does anyone find it helpful to do a full LR section before they PT? or just a few problems should suffice?

Just took Saturday and Sunday completely off. Taking PT 67 today. Hopefully those 2 days off helped.

Re: December 2013 Retakers
I've talked to some other December re-takers, in-person, and have been sharing this same advice. I'm forcing myself to really take it easy these last couple of weeks and have actually seen my scores rise when I do end up drilling and PTing. Maybe it's just me, but it seems that my testing skills are not going to improve much between now and December 7th. It's just about staying fresh and focused come test day.dosto wrote:Please avoid burning out this late in the game, guys.
