If I was really worried about YP, I'd honestly just make a vacation out of it and drive down the east coast, visiting schools on my way, lulz. Only way it'd be somewhat affordable/possible.
ETA: Sometimes I almost hope I only get into one of YS so I don't have to make that decision.

Write a convincing why X, maybe personalize the PS, do some research that you can bring up in interviews, and that should be enough mitigate the YP at most places.oopsu812 wrote:If I was really worried about YP, I'd honestly just make a vacation out of it and drive down the east coast, visiting schools on my way, lulz. Yes, I wouldn't go to NYC just to visit law schools. I'd just do that as part of a vacation, haha. I really want to figure out how I truly feel about NYC. There's something about it I don't quite connect with (although I've never been there), but I have nothing against big cities (London is <3). So I'm not really sure what's up with it.Alexandros wrote:I mean I'll def visit my main contenders before making a final decision, as well.oopsu812 wrote:Ohhhh you were thinking about YP, not just about making sure you like the location and vibez and what not.Alexandros wrote:Yeah I'm thinking NYU and CLS shouldn't be hard. Also I feel you on cost / feasibility; why I'm trying to cut it down / combine things as much as possible
CLS/NYU don't really YP but they do weird shit sometimes and are my <3 schools. Also easy to visit because NYC.

Hello hi this is me. I'm basically the opposite of this forum - not going to be applying to T14 and not looking to do BL at all.Alexandros wrote:I think I'm the only person ITT seriously considering non-BL but a productive thread if you are: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 4&t=276479 (Thanks Bri!)
