I've had profs tell me that law school is great training because it "teaches you to think a certain way" and is applicable to a variety of fields. I'm like LOL just LOL professor.

This is true. However, I was responding to hypo about a career that doesn't require a law degree. Therefore, it would be a waste of time and money to go to law school if the poster wanted that career path.

"In my opinion" is abbreviated IMO, right?
