Samesies, but my flight went way faster than normal so I still need to do the last LR section. Super low on sleep today, and I definitely feel sluggish. Will be interesting to see score.Tazewell wrote:PT 66 - 179

I took this one on a plane with no headphones in, so I'm definitely starting to get better at taking them in distracting places. I really think that hurt me in September so that's promising. Asterisk by the 179 though because it was a retake from about 5 months ago, but I'm mostly just happy that I didn't let the family with 4 kids running up and down the aisles throw me off my game.

Too tired today. Only slept two hours last night and did 3/4PT on flight, but it landed early. Came back to the LR later in day.Greenteachurro wrote:probably only do a hell packet of LG and maybe some RC today. What is everyone else doing today?
PT69
LR1 -2
LG -1
RC -1
LR2 -3
Great RC for me, lower end of LR.
Also did 62 Games. Actually a hard games IMO or seemed long. I hit my timer off by accident so I didn't get a great grip on timing. That said, I flew through the stained glass game like never before. Didn't split worlds and found it easy.
Writing some solutions to games for my site I'm working on.

Did PT 71 today (I think it was 71), 162, but -6 LR, and -8 LR! WHAT. That's literally more than twice what I average in wrong answers on LR. One LR PT can't be that much harder right?
I only need 158, so not hugely concerning, but man, I only took like 4 days off of LR.
Each section seemed incredibly difficult (I can't stress enough how normally I feel like almost every question is so easy, except for maybe 2-3, and here it felt so hard. I couldn't really understand the arguments, and the answers didn't pop out like they usually do), and I must have bubbled at least that many questions on each section indicating questions I was uncertain about.

Actually, it was 70.dj9i27 wrote:I think you're fine, you have the capability just don't freak out on test day; I babied out and took a half off day today only doing an RC and LR section so you're more productive than me. 71 has a huge curve doesn't it? that could be why the questions felt hard.dontsaywhatyoumean wrote:Did PT 71 today (I think it was 71), 162, but -6 LR, and -8 LR! Unrelated question, but in this game,
https://7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsa ... -3-game-2/
For question 8, "Which one of the following is a possible selection of employees for the team?", am I supposed to interpret that as the only employees selected for the team? Meaning everyone else is not selected.
I got the question right, so maybe? I thought they're usually more precise with language though.

So, I'm not that familiar with the particular question, but it sounds like an in out game. I would just say that for certain games the unlisted items *can* be the reason an answer choice doesn't work out... I've even seen a game or two where you need to consider the out group to do the first question. It's possible the language of the question was just trying to clue you in to remember the out group.dj9i27 wrote:it is just another acceptable situation question, did you have issues with it or nah just tripped up on the language?dontsaywhatyoumean wrote:Actually, it was 70.dj9i27 wrote:I think you're fine, you have the capability just don't freak out on test day; I babied out and took a half off day today only doing an RC and LR section so you're more productive than me. 71 has a huge curve doesn't it? that could be why the questions felt hard.dontsaywhatyoumean wrote:Did PT 71 today (I think it was 71), 162, but -6 LR, and -8 LR! Re: The Official December 2016 Study Group - Time to register! New Poll!
I got it right, but I thought they were trying to indicate (like Ip said) the relevance of the out group by not mentioning only.
So that's what I looked for, but I eventually just treated it as if it was an exhaustive list of those included.
Edit, I see 7Sage diagrammed it differently, but I got everything else right on that game, including that question.
But I thought they were being clever with the language so I spent longer than I should have trying to be careful not to fall into a trap (I didn't want to assume the list was exhaustive, even though it seems like it is).
It is in/out
Edit 2, yeah, I don't see any other way other than assuming it's exhaustive. That seems at least mildly unfair given the LSAT's historical emphasis on the significance of terms like "only".

Virus game wasn't as bad as people made it out to be, but taking the test at home instead of having this as your actual test makes a huge difference.
I actually thought Games 2 and 3 on this test were pretty difficult, very open ended and time consuming. Only had like 8 minutes for the virus game so went -2 on the section. Needed a few more minutes for that game. But games are definitely getting much harder. Damn, this whole test is.

I couldn't figure it out on test day but now that i look at it, it really really REALLY does not seem that bad. Going to be drilling some NA questions today but un-timed. I will be trying out this new approach in which i cover up the answers and put a piece of paper (i don't have any sticky notes so whatevs) and i anticipate and write now what i think the right answer should be. I already try to do anticipate answers as much as i can, but this is just something i want to experiment with!

Think this is a great idea. I drilled NA like crazy and it's my best question type now, I rarely miss any.Mikey wrote:Going to be drilling some NA questions today but un-timed. SA are my best, i never miss them unless i really really don't pay attention and glance over something. NA are ok to me, but i still miss some at times. When are you guys taking your last PT next week? I'm debating Wednesday/Thursday... think a solid 2 day break could actually do more help than harm tho at this point
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
