Hopefully I can "get very VERY motivated" today

Well, if it helps, I started thinking about how much I miss being in an academic setting and how I miss learning. It motivated me to get this studying going and get apps rolling!

that's pretty much what motivates me atm. being in workforce for a long time has made me appreciate the academic environment even more.

Sometimes I wonder if thats the reason why some schools prefer some working experience.

if i'd have to bet, i guess someone in workforce going back to school will be more motivated to do well. there's a bit of selection bias there.

Keeping skills in mind-with the economy crashing, and people grabbing whatever comes their way just to pay bills I highly doubt they will get people with strong working experience that can contribute heavily to the interview at OCI.

IDK I think there are plenty of people who have actual job skills. Mine will definitely help when interviewing, although its for sure a niche market.

true but top schools can be very choosy though. Not what you hear on tls but i think they can overlook poor lsat / gpa for interesting candidates. there are non urm yls wl and hls admit with lsat around 165 in the recent cycle.

that said, rc has begun to feel stubbornly non improvable to me.

Drill every LG. Then see what particular type of LR Qs are tripping you up most- use LSATQA if you aren't already. Drill their cambridge packets. RC can be unpredictable and imo takes longer to see real results on.

for a scaled of 169. Down from my last (and highest) of 172, but I'm actually not feeling as bad about this as I thought I would. I went through everything I got wrong and all but two were very stupid mistakes, which again renews my faith that my drilling hasn't been a waste of time. I think I'm going to start doing 3 PTs a week now with the hope that I will improve under pressure and cut down on some of the foolish mistakes I'm making.

Edit: Does anyone have any insight on Q15 from Section 4 (RC) of this test? I don't understand how A could possibly be better than B...A ignores the entire conclusion of the passage, and focuses only on the argument the passage uses to demonstrate that conclusion. I'm really very confused by this, and the MSLAT forums' explanation didn't convince me.

Oh definitely. I felt ecstatic about my performance until I checked the scaling sheet and was rapidly and violently plummeted back down to earth.

no source other than the people I study with. They evaluated the trends and said that the September curve is likely to be 13 or 14. Less people take the test in September, and this one is more than likely gonna be even less than Sep 2013.

So no real credibility, just fun to talk about

Well, for the most part, the most popular testing day is June. From what I've been told (not sourced, again) is that in September there are less people and a bunch of retakers (indicating unsatisfactory scores from June).

If you look at the history of the LSAT, the September/ October one has almost always been a tick or two more generous. This past June, it was -13. That would indicate that September will be -14. But one must also factor in that there was an extraordinary game (not saying it was hard... just different) in June which may attribute to the curve. Either way, I don't think its crazy to think that the curve is likely gonna be 13 or 14 just based on past trends.
