I'm surprised that this "calling out" was so effective bringing lurkers out of the woodwork. Keep 'em coming!

Well, I can't speak for all the lurkers out there but, at least in my case, I didn't really realize how annoying it could be having a bunch of people silently hanging around a forum without ever chiming in on anything.muzzy wrote:I'm hoping that one can apply the idea of revolutionary thresholds to TLS lurkers.Hotguy wrote:1 in 1000 I like your positive attitude dude.muzzy wrote:Welcome! I guess it's kind of like when you're having a conversation with a friend while waiting for the train or bus and a complete stranger decides to place themselves immediately behind the two of you and listen intently to everything you say. Every once in a while, they nod their head in approval or smile but they never say anything themselves. It's unsettling!
After having that image develop in my head, I decided I'd rather not be the creepy train station eavesdropper and so I jumped on in.

Alive, but didn't go that well for me, unfortunately. Really bummed, since I really thought I could raise my score into at least the mid 170s this time.dosto wrote:How was it, delayed takers?

Ugh I just remembered that my test will be nondisclosed since it's a makeup.PourMeTea wrote:I wasn't expecting this wait to be so much harder than October's. This time felt like it went smoothly in comparison, and not being able to pinpoint where you may have messed up makes it SO MUCH WORSE.

New and just wanted to say hi. Took the test in October and retook it in December and feel pretty good about it. Now just working on my personal statement and apps.

People are saying some parts of it are from February 2009. That goes along with what I saw (the 2009 copyright at the bottom of the page on my test).dosto wrote:cheme2014 wrote: Noticed it was from 2009, though.

that seems kind of weird that they'd use material from a released PT, considering how anal they are about making sure no one has an "edge" over anyone else.cheme2014 wrote:People are saying some parts of it are from February 2009. what do you mean it was from 2009? Like it was an experimental from 2009? or a 2009 test already administered?

Re: December 2013 LSAT Waiting Thread
CookieDough: Haha, thanks. That's what I'm telling myself for now. Not sure what TCR is if I don't like my score, though, since the plan is to apply this cycle. Retake in Feb? :/
wealtheow: Haha yeah, I thought it was weird, too. February 2009 wasn't disclosed, though, I think? Lol someone had the prions passage from October for their experimental section
And thanks!
NanaP: I'm still not completely sure, but from what I've heard, LG, RC and (at least) one of the LR had subject matter that matches what the February 2009 people had? I'll let you know if I find out more information.

But the February 2009 test was NOT released, correct? That is why they do not disclose the February tests, so they can use them as make-up tests.wealtheow wrote:that seems kind of weird that they'd use material from a released PT, considering how anal they are about making sure no one has an "edge" over anyone else.People are saying some parts of it are from February 2009. In one of the threads from the cancelled/make-up tests from February of this year, I recall that someone said their make-up test had a copyright of 2008.
So it looks like those of us who are taking a make-up this Saturday (Dec. 21) will probably get a test from 2007 or 2010?
ETA: Does anyone know if there were any cancellations for the June and October tests this year? Just wondering if I should look for threads about the copyrights for tests that were given as make-ups then . . . Not that I think knowing the copyright years will help me in any objective sense, but I am just curious.

Re: December 2013 LSAT Waiting Thread
oh, whoops. i was responding with info from another thread in mind - namely that material from PT 70 was on some people's make up tests. the prions passage, i believe. if you had PT'ed it, or were an October retaker, odds are you'd recognize it immediately and know you didn't have to take that section seriously...that's what i thought was odd. you're right, it makes perfect sense they'd re-use undisclosed stuff - that's the purpose of not disclosing it, of course.Allegra wrote:

I tend to think in terms of how I am able to manage. This test was better than October for me. I was able to look back at things I was uncertain on most sections.
