Oh well, maybe I'll actually end up buying itproteinshake wrote:It's overMAPP wrote:Are they still giving free BP books away to TLSers? I haven't gotten into it yet but I expect good things. the book organizes passages by structure instead of by subject matter, which seems to make more sense. its also about twice as long as other RC prep books.MAPP wrote:Oh well, maybe I'll actually end up buying itproteinshake wrote:It's overMAPP wrote:Are they still giving free BP books away to TLSers? I'm glad you said this, only one person responded to my thought of doing this by saying not to. Been stressed about it. My plan is to do Powerscore LG and Blueprint RC over the weekends until summer, at which time I'll do the Trainer full time until my September take. Hopefully this works.dt24 wrote: I would recommend to anyone who does not want to take a paid class, to read and master the strategies laid out in the PowerScore LG and LR books and then when you feel like you have peaked to make your way through the LSAT trainer.

if you look around the forums, almost everyone will tell you to start with the Trainer. look here: https://www.google.com/search?q=top-law ... chools.comO.J. wrote:I'm glad you said this, only one person responded to my thought of doing this by saying not to. Interesting, I just looked at some of those threads and consensus looked split to me, many of whom basically suggested there is no difference either way. Guess we're reading different forums. But thanks anyway, that link helped.proteinshake wrote:if you look around the forums, almost everyone will tell you to start with the Trainer. look here: https://www.google.com/search?q=top-law ... chools.comO.J. wrote:I'm glad you said this, only one person responded to my thought of doing this by saying not to. cgra1916 wrote:I know I've probably annoyed a lot of you all on this thread regarding LSAT prep, but I'm in a dilemma choosing a 2nd prep course...
I am currently enrolled in a Kaplan prep course which starts next week, but I am also wanting to enroll in an additional prep course over the summer, most likely Powerscore or Blueprint. I'd like to enroll in an additional prep course to get more practice, prep, etc. The only prep materials I currently have are the Powerscore Bibles, which I have found to be helpful and understanding. Before I make a decision, I have a couple questions:
1) My original plan was to take the Kaplan course until it ends in June, and self-study until the September LSAT. Is taking an additional prep course a good idea to begin with?[ I think it's also important to note that the Blueprint course ends on the same week as the LSAT test date
2) Will taking an additional prep course prevent me from doing more review/drilling, or do these courses help with drilling and analyzing each problem deeper?
3) Since I am comfortable with the Powerscore bibles, should I lean more towards to the Powerscore prep course to hone in on their strategies?
4) Considering I am comfortable with the bibles, would it be a bad idea to enroll in another prep course that teaches different strategies/techniques, or is being exposed to different strategies from other prep companies helpful?
5) Are live courses that much better than online courses?
6) If you took a Powerscore or Blueprint course, what was your experience like?
Any advice is surely appreciated! I'm willing to spend and utilize the best resources in order to get a good score. Thanks a bunch in advance!

I would personally put the money towards a 7sage subscription and go through his online videos if you've already taken a prep course.. I think you'd get much more out of it since two prep courses will just teach the same basic information in different ways.

Good luck with the 170! I hope you get it. You could look into taking a physical prep course such as Princeton or TestMasters in addition to your 4 month study plan.HarveySpecs wrote:Hi all. I want to take the LSAT in September, hence my posting to this board. I was wondering what would be best for someone who has never seen the LSAT before. I've purchased the PowerScore Bible bundle and am going to start with the 4 month plan. Are there an other recommendations so I can get the 170 that I need?

I'm using Trainer to supplement 7Sage for LR. I'm also using Trainer for RC.MAPP wrote:This is going to be vague, but bear with me. I seem to remember reading, either on the 7sage site or here on TLS, about a book to supplement lsat studies. Pretty sure it was about logic or logical thinking or something along those lines... anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm getting all my prep books ready for study this summer and thought I might buy this book for when I have down time and don't really want to study.
I think MAPP is talking about an actual book you'd read for leisure, not a prep book. Is this correct?ngogirl12 wrote:I'm using Trainer to supplement 7Sage for LR.
