Even if pencil type does not matter much, knowing you have a quality pencil in lieu of a TTT pencil will boost your confidence and rid you from unwanted problems during game day (e.g., your eraser not erasing properly, your pencil's lead breaking constantly, your inability to write swiftly, etc)

Re: What #2 Pencil Should I use?
To borrow from the earlier samurai analogy:
A skilled samurai would kill his foes pretty easily regardless of the sword he uses. However, all things equal, wouldn't the samurai want the best sword he could possibly get his hands on?
As a LSAT taker, if you didn't prepare smartly, you'd probably do poorly on the exam regardless of what kind of pencil you use. The pencil won't turn you into a great test taker. However, as a prepared and skilled test taker, wouldn't you want the best available? You'd probably do well regardless, but wouldn't it be in your best interest to use the best pencil available to you on test day?

Re: What #2 Pencil Should I use?
LOL this was funny. Anyway, i'll also vouch for the Ticonderoga tri-point/soft touch black pencils. Though I will say the standard shaped pencil sharpener they provide with that pack makes the damn things seem awkward as hell to sharpen, often resulting in 1-2 breaks before a decent/good sharpen (though this could also be due to the gimp nature of being a lefty)Dr. Dre wrote: I was looking at the list of pencils they make, and most of them are TTT.
Another thing is, it's thread topics like these that really help me distinguish between "TLS-aware LSAT prep students" and "Non-TLS aware LSAT prep students" when discussing the nuances of the LSAT with others IRL.

How can a pencil company afford to pay so many people? And of course the guy at the top is wearing a bow-tie.

Super disappointing, seriously wanted to try them. Think I might give the Golden Bears a shot at beating out my current favorite (Mirados).
