Do the testmakers construct the test so that some sections on certain tests are more difficult than the same section on other tests?

Anyone have any additional resources they recommend for preparing for LG? I went through the LG Bible and I've been going through games in the second Grouped by Game Type book, but I just feel like I need more guided work on technique before I stick to just attempting game after game after game. The LG Bible actually made me worse at games. I was doing better on them before.

Did you have a method before? If so, you might be better going back to it. PS's methods don't work for everyone. I don't think any prep company has methods that work 100% of the time for 100% of test takers.

Not really, haha, so I know I need some sort of method. I'll look into the Atlas one and see if that helps me develop some kind of hybrid method that works for me.

yea i have had a somewhat good time juggling everything...its better to split your time studying during the day if you can...if not, sometimes long nights are in store unfortunately....at least that is my experience. '

Hello everyone, new guy here but have been reading the boards for about a couple weeks trying to get ready for this LSAT. I am currently in my Junior year at the University of Akron (Political Science major) and have a 3.8 GPA. I'm aiming for 165-175 (big difference between the scores I know) on this LSAT and am about to start studying. I've gotten the LG Powerscore and will be getting other books once I get paid this Friday. I've informed my work that I will only be working 2 nights a week (10 hours/week) until after the LSAT so my main focus for these next 5 months is getting my best possible score on the LSAT. l look forward to getting to know you guys and will do my best to contribute to this thread and forum.

Here is the breakdown of my performance

T 54 (June 2008)
RC: 16/27 (-11)
LR1: 22/26 (-4)
LR2: 23/25 (-2)
LG: 20/23 (-3)

Raw: 81/101
Scaled: 162

Wow. The breakdown really makes it glaring that you just need to hone in on that RC section. Good job on the rest. Tweak up LG to a -0 and you're breaking into the mid to high 80's on ur raw score.

Try looking for the incorrect answers right away. That is more glaring than the right answer. Always keep in mind that you're looking for the parallel structure in reasoning. I've always found that being able to realize the type of reasoning [conditional or causal] has allowed me to immediately strike out 2-3 incorrect answer choices, leaving two from which I can then put them to the reasoning test. I tended to struggle with parallel questions as well but I was able to get on top of that particular LR type through practice. I would also suggest leaving these questions for last.

Hey thought I'd jump in this thread. New years resolution was to crush Lsats and get into a t30 law school at minimum. I started studying Janruary 1st about 2-3 hours a day and weirdly must say I'm really enjoying it. Outside studying I've started reading works on epistemology and logic because it actually really interests me.

I'm almost done carefully combing through the LR bible. It just makes sense to me. Today when practicing method of reasoning and flaw of reasoning I didn't miss a single question. This has been the case for all except assumption, those have given me a wee bit of trouble.

Can't believe I was afraid of this test.

Really interesting stuff. My question is does anybody have any experience with these books: Master the LSAT, ACE the Lsat Logic Games, Will Shortz Presents Easy Pocket Sudoku, USA Today Everyday Logic 200 Puzzles. These are some of the books the writer of the post recommended. Thoughts?

I am currently using the 5-month study plan. If you need some structure to your study schedule, or if you are the type who likes to have the parameters defined, it is a good fit. I mean the schedule isn't going to give you the fountain of youth, but it can certainly help you stay on the path over the next 4 months.

Try doing both, although I would rather study for the LSAT than any other grad admissions test.

Went through the ACE book. Think it has some games that are easier than the real ones and then ones that are just brutally hard. Nonetheless, I recommend it.
