i just know I won't be able to take the test again until December and that could be an issue.buckiguy_sucks wrote:You probably won't need an addendum anyway, especially if its your first score.jj2hawks wrote:is it in poor form to have an idea for an addendum before even knowing my score ?

Re: The Official June 2015 Waiter's Thread
I was, plus two grad classes that ended in May and then a summer course (which I won't be done with until mid-July). I didn't get quite that much prep in, but this time I know how I will manage my time differently to get ready for the October date. At least I won't have to worry about finals before the LSAT this time.basedvulpes wrote:Who else here was studying while working full time? I kind of liked it, it felt like good practice for being a lawyer. Working 8-9 hours a day and studying 2 hours+ at night. Throw in 5-6 hours on saturday and another 5-6 for a PT on sunday and you've got a 60+ hour week.TexasENG wrote:8 Hour workdays are for weaklings. 10+ or bust.

does anyone know if there have been any other acceptable reasons for an alternative test date except for religious reasons ?

Re: The Official June 2015 Waiter's Thread
Well, relatively productive day. I wrote a more structured version of my personal statement, and included most if not all the things I wanted to discuss. I have been jumping from idea to idea for the past two weeks, developing it slightly, only to develop a new idea that is a spinoff of one of the ideas from the past statement.
If any of you are familiar with his work, I felt similar to what David Foster Wallace must have felt as he penned Octet, a metafictional short story that explored the relationship between postmodernism, author, and readership. I also felt many of the anxieties that he must have felt as he attempted to complete The Pale King in that I wanted to keep the personal statement brief, but the more I wrote, the more I was inclined to include. I was left with a lot of content -- poignant and reasonable -- but with little indication as to how to put it together to form a cohesive statement.
Now, I can at least say that I am a *little* bit closer to my goal of writing my first rough draft.
If I re-apply, and if my score permits it, I also intend to apply to Yale. I can't wait until I have to struggle physically and mentally with that 250-word essay of theirs.
