Re: Feb Waiters: is TODAY the DAY? [New Poll]
That's true. However, I didn't say I was dumbfounded that the scores weren't released early; I said I was dumbfounded by the process. LSAC established a date 25 days after the test was given, and that's fine. I would much rather have them stick to that date to eliminate any and all of the uncertainty/stress/anxiety of the last two days. But the guessing game that is brought about by how they release the scores is the issue I'm addressing. It doesn't make sense to me as to why they need to operate in this manner.[/quote]Ron_Burgundy wrote:Throttle wrote:Ron_Burgundy wrote:I'm dumbfounded by this entire process. This whole guessing game is incredibly frustrating and (seemingly) unnecessary. Of course, the same can be said about LSAC as a whole. You'vegotmail wrote:Is anyone else dumbfounded that our scores may be delayed because of a few snow flurries? If I can walk through three feet of snow to get to school everyday, LSAC can click a few buttons and get me my score.
There is a difference in believing the scores would be released earlier vs being dumbfounded when they aren't. You shouldn't be dumbfounded because we know they are using the excuses of make-up test for releasing the scores later than usual.
They aren't operating in that manner mentioned above; we are.

I'm surprised some are expecting a delay. LSAC has a pretty good idea in advance of their set release as to whether or not they'll meet their deadline. Once they do know this, they notify people of it. That they haven't notified anyone of a delay suggests to me they'll be out today...(self-deception?)

Yeah... for Oct 2012 administration, even with the Hurricane Sandy fiasco, LSAC somehow managed to release scores on the scheduled dateTERS wrote:I'm surprised some are expecting a delay. i thought it was the day after the scheduled date? my friend tells that story a lot, and she said it was a day late.RetakeFrenzy wrote:Yeah... for Oct 2012 administration, even with the Hurricane Sandy fiasco, LSAC somehow managed to release scores on the scheduled dateTERS wrote:I'm surprised some are expecting a delay. but... isn't that the only time they weren't released early (besides this one) in years? how many data points do we have to prove that they "have a pretty good idea in advance?" i mean, october and sandy, but "we're about to get hit by a hurricane and might not have power" is a much different situation.

Re: Feb Waiters: is TODAY the DAY? [New Poll]
It was a day late. This is the first time it'll be released ON the day (hopefully), making it the second longest wait relative to the expected release date. Last Feb was released only one day before the expected release, making it the third latest (possibly tied with others, but not to my knowledge). I sat for that too, not fun.kmc wrote:i thought it was the day after the scheduled date? my friend tells that story a lot, and she said it was a day late.RetakeFrenzy wrote:Yeah... for Oct 2012 administration, even with the Hurricane Sandy fiasco, LSAC somehow managed to release scores on the scheduled dateTERS wrote:I'm surprised some are expecting a delay. so... no data points, is what you're saying? haha. that's what i thought, but didn't know if maybe i was looking an an erroneous date table or something.Clearlynotstefan wrote:

Theres plenty of data points, the problem is they don't suggest anything, the scores come out when they're ready, and too many factors could delay it. If the data were to suggest anything, it'd be that we should have received scores already lol. Tomorrow is in my opinion by far more likely then a delay, but I suspect if scores were delayed we would be notified.

Re: Feb Waiters: is TODAY the DAY? [New Poll]
yup. i meant specifically data points for whether or not they "have a pretty good idea in advance" and notify accordingly. i also think today is the most likely, but just don't think we can extrapolate from the ONE delay notification when their offices were closed due to a hurricane that they would for sure notify us at any point before today.Clearlynotstefan wrote:Theres plenty of data points, the problem is they don't suggest anything, the scores come out when they're ready, and too many factors could delay it. That's what the LSAT has turned you into. It's only a matter of time before you're yelling "FLAW FLAW FLAW" when your friends speak.kmc wrote:i've become a hope killer, basically. that's what this thread has turned me into.

Ugh I'm in Singapore, where it is already deep into the 6th. I feel like I'm being toyed with, although I rationally understand that it is only into the wee hours of the morning back on the East Coast.

Gotcha. They got their scores 4 days early. And there are way more test-takers in December. That's pretty frustrating.Jeffort wrote:December 2010ws81086n wrote:any idea which one?Jeffort wrote:No, it also happened a few years ago for a December administration.dosemfb89 wrote:So just curious, sorry if this has already been covered, but was Feb 2013 the only time when the test was rescheduled for some centers?

Re: Feb Waiters: is TODAY the DAY? [New Poll]
The people that didn't get rescheduled got their scores early, two days BEFORE the re-scheduled administration for the people that got screwed by the weather that test. Those affected by the bad weather that year didn't get to take the test until January 8th 2011, a month after they were originally supposed to take it and two days after everyone else received their scores!ws81086n wrote:

Those December people that got pushed to January, they really did have something big to complain and stress about, unlike people that have to actually wait all the way until the stated release deadline (OMG!!WTF??FML! LSAC is evil!!! etc. lol). Just chill people, it'll all be over soon. There is no legitimate reason to suspect that scores will not be released today and I'd be really surprised if they aren't. If LSAC manages to get the re-scheduled test day scores out today as well, I think they should be praised for pulling it off, unlike what the December 2010 weather screwed people had to go through with how LSAC dealt with it that time, it really sucked for them.
Anyway, carry on with refreshing everyone, hopefully less than 10-12 hours (I'm guessing they start coming out by 11am EST) until they start dropping into your in-boxes!
