I heavily dislike all the high GPA-ers out there right now . But then again, I did absolutely nothing in college except for laboring over a nagging girlfriend, playing super-smash / catan / fifa , ordering pizza, and usually the other thing that goes along with those last two things.

I'm bound to be paying sticker with a 3.3. WaltGrace knows what's at stake -- you seemed destined for scholarship money with your GPA and should definitely take all the time you need to ace that LSAT.

And everyone gave me shit because I was staying in, writing, studying, and exercising . When I got my final transcript in January it was a great moment knowing that 3.5 years of misery paid off. I probably didn't get as much out of college as I wanted but I feel like I didn't miss as much as people thought I did. I was just never the going out to party, drinking, smoking type of person (not saying that anyone here is, I'm just saying). I just never understood why some people at my college didn't take it seriously. Since entering college, I was just....different. Yet I still got dates.....I don't understand my life.

Well it definitely paid off for law school admissions. Half the time I think I want to go to law school just to see my GPA matter for something.

I've accepted that no score will actually offset my low GPA. let's just hope that my STELLAR work experience makes up for it... (rolling my eyes SO hard right now)

So has anyone tried the "Difficult Questions" bundle? I'm wondering if that is the way to go for me as those [surprisingly] seem to be my downfall. I feel like poring over difficult question after difficult question will condition me in a positive way. Thoughts?

I thought about this too, but then WaltGrace's (figurative) voice popped into my head saying: "you need the fundamentals first!"

so I refrained. Also, I'm really creeped out that someone in a forum is now influencing me to that point.

I think fundamentals for me are alright, it's just about those last 3-4 questions per section that might trip me up at this point.

I feel that numerous books do well with formal logic, and I have it crammed into my head in the IF/Then format...
I also understand the types that are except/unless/etc.
But.... how do you guys understand the types of conditional logic that is not in this sense? This may seem like a dumb, obvious question but I would just like to know how you guys distinguish questions as being conditional. Sometimes I come across tough questions and I miss them, but realize if I used conditional logic they would have been easier.. thanks!

"By making it easier to become a lawyer, we could undermine this malicious dynamic" - Uhm. Is this satire? Making it "easier" to enter ANY profession is the adult equivalent of "everyone gets a trophy".

"This sounds extreme, but it's actually what almost every other profession is like." - I'm gonna go ahead and say if you make it as easy as possible to crank out lawyers, they no longer become true professionals. No one would accept this rhetoric if this guy was writing about professors or doctors.

If you look on LSN you can see multiple candidates not being accepted wit his LSAT score…sometimes even higher. My point being there could have been other factors that contributed to his rejection.

A lot of people-porspective students believe that the only way to get into harvard is through connections so I can see why he mentioned the whole paycheck thing.

Reviewing the conditional logic chapter in the manhattan book. My head hurts.

Don't know if it's a causal correlation or not.

You have to pay attention to the language being used. There are certain words that indicate conditionality...any introduces a sufficient condition, must introduces necessary...7sage has some good lessons on the specific type of language that acts as an indicator.

Also, just think about what the sentence is saying. See if you can convert if to an if/then statement. Sometimes I get tripped up TRYING to use some process for converting a sentence to a statement of conditional logic that I fail to realize how simple it actually is.

Get in the habit of always keeping the conditionals in mind when answering a question (some people circle "if," "must," and other indicators in the stimulus). Sometimes, like you said, the answer will be clear because of it. But even when the correct answer doesn't depend on conditional logic completely, having a clear understanding of it can only help.

LR 1: -0 (!)
RC: -2
LG: -5 (-3 on G1...)
LR 2: -5

Raw score 89, scaled score 169.

Is the second LR usually harder, or is it just fatigue? I've consistently done worse on the second LR section in my PTs. I'm hoping I can build up some endurance and get my combined LR in the -2/-3 range. LG is reflective of the fact that I've been neglecting it for LR study.

Also, when you finish a section early and go back to review challenging questions in the remaining time, do you guys start from the end of the section and work backwards (where more challenging Qs are) or flip back to the beginning to view questions with fresh eyes?
