PT 66, 180 (-0 LR, -0 LG, -1 RC)

Second guessed myself on that one missed question and changed it from the right answer to a wrong one. This is +4 raw score better than any other test I have done so far. Feeling good.
September test taker here... Do you mind sharing how long you have been studying and your most used study resources?
Started studying in early March. I skimmed PowerScore Logic Games bible, and I watched a few 7Sage videos on the logic games.

Other than that, I have just been doing full PT's twice or three times a week.
jesus motherfuck. what was your diagnostic?

And........we have a 170 folks! Nice to see some improvement after plateauing in the 167-168 range for a few weeks. Still went on tilt during one LR section but as long as this trend line continues I'll be happy (goal being low-to-mid 170's).

*Just to brag, I accomplished the last section during a way-too-frequent Haitian power outage by the light of my computer's glowing monitor. So, I figure if I can manage that, I can manage tapping-pencil-guy or Typhoid-Mary-coughing or other distractions come test day...hopefully*

PT 63 ("extra" section PT 34 S1: -2): 170
BR: 175

Section breakdown: -1LG, -1/-6 LR, -3 RC.

Thanks for the encouragement dudes.

Feeling terrible today guys. Just took PT 73 and I haven't BR'ed it but god what a fucking trainwreck. RC and LR just nuked me, I barely even had enough time to finish the sections. I basically guessed on a couple questions. God wtf, do you sometimes feel like you're inexplicably dumber? I don't understand it. At least games felt fine. This test is like fucking whack a mole, every time I think I have one problem sorted three more just pop up.

Fuuuck after finals I think I'm gonna lock myself in a room with LR and RC for a weekend and just binge.

Same thing here. Felt good starting out but ran out of steam by section 3. Did not sleep well last night and had to get up earlier than usual. I'm throwing in the towel for PT 65. I'll go over each question tomorrow and try to PT again on Monday. Fuck it.

Yeah, only way to deal with it is to do the review and then put it behind you.

Haha I love how it's so much easier to give someone else good advice on the LSAT.

I was about to be like, "Don't sweat it, everyone has ups and downs in LSAT PTs! You got this!" and then I remember how shitty and stupid I feel when my PTs take a dip.

I should probably try to take my own advice.

Who thinks there will be a curveball game in June? Really worried about getting a mapping/tough pattern game that can singlehandedly ruin my test. But this seems to be happening a lot lately on the recents LSATs.

I sure as hell hope not, although I wouldn't doubt it. Have you done many (or all) of them? If not, you should at least take a look at some so you won't be COMPLETELY lost if one shows up next month.

I've looked at a bunch, watched the 7sage explanations, but they still give me some trouble. Like on PT40, there's the Zephyr airlines game with 7 questions. I went -5 on that section, and couldn't figure out the game during the timed exam. This is my biggest worry for June.
How bout you? What are you doing to prepare for these?

I remember that game, it also game me trouble but I don't remember how many I got wrong. To be completely honest, I'm in the same boat as you haha. Hoping that there isn't one but if there is then obviously I'll try my best!

Very happy with the improvements in LR and RC since joining this thread. A lot of excellent advice from high scorers. Im finally understanding the importance of paraphrasing!! Not only has it helped increase speed but (more importantly) accuracy. With RC Passage 2, I had NO IDEA what was going on, but because I understood the structure of the argument, I managed to get all but 1 question. That is very motivating.
Nice! I did this one today as well! I felt like LG was incredibly easy, but I felt that RC (specifically passage 4) was a pain in my ass haha.
How did you guys get your hands on these tests in the 40s? I looked on Amazon, and they're ridiculously overpriced, and LSAC doesn't sell them anymore

LMAO what is the LSAT...

For months games was my worst section, RC was my rock, and LR was pretty consistent. Now LG is cake, I don't get RC, and I'm regressing on LR. Literally wtf...

PT 74:

169 (first time below 170 since February)

LR: -6 (previous avg. -3.36)
RC: -7 (previous avg. -2.09)
LG: -0 (previous avg. -2.36)

Aw man I'm sorry to hear that. I've had similar slides backward. Really demoralizing especially since I feel like being confident on the day of the test is going to be crucial to not see a huge drop in score.

Just gotta hang in there and have faith I guess. :(

Yeah so worrying! That and the PT72 one with the workpieces or whatever (wtf even is a workpiece). I've been able to hack away at both by keeping my nerve intact... also you can get pretty far with some of the questions by making basic inferences, without really figuring out the full game.

It's especially frustrating because 7sage will have some ingenious technique, but then it's like how do you think of that on the actual day of the test?

So I neglected games for a while to focus on RC and LR, and now I'm starting to slip with games again!! I'm finding it really hard to do all the games in time without sacrificing accuracy. I guess it's a matter of 'once you find the answer, move on' and not cross-checking every answer, but I tend to make so many silly mistakes when I don't have the luxury of checking every answer. Any advice?

Yeah, I was reading on another thread in which they were speaking about the December game that drove everyone nuts. What a lot of people were saying is that since LSAC knows that people are easily learning their LG's, they're starting to throw in these weird games.

Yeah man! I know you were so close to breaking 170. A basic grouping game and you would've been on your way to law school this Fall! :(
