They're just his suggestions in order to finish the given section in time. I also tend to finish under his recommended time and that allows me to check my answers and scantron.audaz wrote:Question about 7 Sage Logic Games video explanations target times.
I apologize if this question has already been asked I can't remember and 84 pages is a lot to scroll through. But is there a consensus on the 7 sage logic games target times being accurate. I seem to be consistently significantly lower than their estimates (example I was just drilling and did a game they suggested 11 minutes for I did under 8 and a game they suggested 7 minutes for I did under 5 – and this is the norm for me).
Logic games are a pretty strong subject for me so I'm just trying to figure out if I'm faster than their estimates because of skill or because there is something funky with their timing and to take it with a grain of salt.
(oh and the times I'm reporting are for games in which I score perfectly.. idk if that helps or not)

OK, I have defeated LSAT prep. I will stop posting in the thread, since I don't think I have any good advice for others taking the test.

PT 67
Score: 170
a minus 10 curve on what I thought was a slightly more difficult test, especially considering the zone game.

September test taker here... Do you mind sharing how long you have been studying and your most used study resources?somewhatferal wrote:Took a one week break from PT'ing.

Second guessed myself on that one missed question and changed it from the right answer to a wrong one. This is +4 raw score better than any other test I have done so far. Feeling good.

LOL I'm registered for June and everything but I'm not actually 100% committed. September is more likely.

PT 62 (w/ PT 33 sec 2 for 5th section)
Another 168. -2RC (boom), -8 LR (bust), -5 LG (stained glass windows logic game...watcha gunna do), -2 LR (reasonable)
This is the second or third test in a row where I've simply gone "on tilt" during a single LR section. If I don't get in a rhythm, it's as if the train comes off the tracks. Think a lot of this can be about focus and mental toughness, so I'm hoping with the homestretch push during this last month, I'll become more and more familiar with the test structure and this will give me confidence. We'll see...

Finished PT69:

LG is ruining my life, seriously. Every freakin' test it's around -5, and that's what is preventing me from hitting 170+. Pushed off taking the exam in Feb to fix games but it's not working out. Drilling doesn't help because I can usually finish sections I've already taken in around 25-30 min, it's just the first time I see a game I can't get my **** together. So aggravating. Can usually finish the 3 easier games in around 25-30, but it's that last/killer game that gets me every time. Anyone have any advice?
My LR wasn't bad here and I'm really happy with my RC score, especially since I thought I went like -5. Overall, I'd take a 168 for my first take in a second but it kills me to be giving up points with games.

PT 72
RC -4
LR1 -3
LR2 -0
LG -5 (fml again)
Overall -12 for a 171/ BR 175
I had taken this test 5 months ago when I was prepping for December so I'm not taking the 171 at face value even though I barely remembered 1/2 questions.
Got to G4 with 12 minutes left and still couldn't figure out the pattern game.
Time to take a fresh PT and hope this wasn't pure luck!

Anyway, I really struggled with LG for a long time until I got my system down. So Mr or Ms Lawying, I think that you made need to try another process for setup.
Are you using the same notation system for the same question types? Are you taking time to find all of the deductions before jumping into the questions? Are you creating scenarios in your initial setup? Are you writing fresh diagrams for each question?
The way I improved my score way by doing the exact same process for every game.

So did you guys get the email from LSAC about our admission ticket picture and brining ID, etc? They said not to scan a picture and I had scanned a passport picture BUT it is clear. Should I be worried? D:

I think I'm feeling kind of burnt out. Did WAY worse on PT 60 than I thought I had done, even after BR.. Ugh, gonna try to take a few days off and then go for a PT sometime next week..

Re: The Official June 2016 Study Group
Did my review for PT 64 this morning and am a bit perplexed. In LR1 I went -1 after an initial -5 but in LR2 went -6 after an initial -7. is this indicative of a lack of fundamentals/mental stamina or can the level of difficulty really sway that much from one LR to another? In the past I've been able to correct almost all of my mistakes but with this particular section I wasnt able to come to 100% certainty on a far greater number of questions than before. Decided to go to the gym to take my mind off of it for a while and will revisit those questions after lunch.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
