Score went up by 5, but I anticipate being waitlisted, so I'll study for June in hopes for more scholarship $$$ or to beat the waitlist.
Do you know how well this strategy works? Kinda in the same boat this cycle. Do you let the admissions office know you are taking again?
I've only read it being done on a couple LSAT blog/sites. My plan is to contact my admissions person if I'm waitlisted and make sure they accept June scores.

welcome doc. I'm in the same boat as you. 169ed feb, but think I can do better. What's your plan now?

A 180 is partially luck. Look up Robin Singh's scores... even a guy who has been a professional LSAT tutor for longer than most of us have been alive can only get 180 half of the time.

Thanks for the welcome.

I did most of the PTs, so I am kind of in trouble there. I think I may start with my LG first using Cambridge... (although no idea the Qs I got wrong, I had a trouble with one of the games so guessing at least -2 or -3 from that surely).

I think I am going to take it easy until late March though... How about you?
I already took the blueprint online class, and I don't wanna pay for an entirely new course. Probably stock up on books. Read thru the bibles and manhattans. Then cambridge problems and tests. I'm going to thailand in two days for the month, and I'll probably make a stricter schedule for april and may. I feel you on the PTs thou (I did the most recent 20). worried that I wasted all the good ones :/

Dude you'll crush it this time. Was Feb the first go at it?
Yes
It'll be like NES Mario vs. SNES mario. SNES obviously dominated way more. June is your time to go SNES on some LSAT questions.
Lol! This reply is so awesome!

dizzydg wrote:Hey everyone, just was gunna give a little breakdown of my situation since I haven't participated in this group yet.

Feb LSAT was my first go. Got a 169. Not totally displeased but I was averaging low to mid 170s so I think I can improve significantly to make a retake worth it. I don't have a stellar GPA (3.2) but I'm a STEM major from a good university so hoping that counts for something. But I think I need 170s to get any significant $$$ from the places I want to apply.

I used the blueprint online course this go around. Stretched it out from late october to feb. I liked the groupings of problems and the problem sets, but I got pretty annoyed with the videos after a while. It just took too long for me to review problems, and I'd lose focus.
Think I'm weakest now on LR and RC (blueprint actually did great LG explanations and I was -0 sections after a couple weeks with their method).

Oh and another reason I wanted to retake is that I broke my femur snowboarding in January before the test. I probably would have just delayed until June because of that alone, but I felt pretty prepared from before that and LSAC wouldn't refund me. It was shitty the first weeks with pain and the drugs but it actually was a good excuse after a while to do nothing but study. I think it was an overall negative, but who knows maybe it really helped me concentrate. I'd like to be healthy this time around thou

So that's what I've got going on, looking foward to gettin to know everyone better/not lurkin anymore 8)
That sucks. I've never broken a bone before but I hear that it is really painful. I can only imagine.
I hope you heal up well and quickly! Good luck on the June test!

Now that I am over my state of depression, I am going to prepare for a June retake. What is the absolute best study materials you all have found? I used the Kaplan premier 2015 book. I need something that will help my score jump at least 10 points. Help!

Hello! I'm still debating whether I should retake in June. I just got my score back from the February LSAT. While I'm pleasantly surprised by my score--I'm at the median for my target schools--I think I can do better since I didn't actually finish one of the LR sections in February. So I'm still deciding if I want to devote another three months to the test while working full-time...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
