Sick to my stomach of RC. Decided I'm going to have some fun today - strictly logic games! fml.

I started doing it by type a few days ago. I personally think its been helping. I'd say give it a shot.

I was drilling RC by type, but now I'm making packets and playing with the ratios based on what I'm trying to drill. It's not like LG where I feel like I'm getting better at game types when I'm doing them back to back

I really want to try RC again now that I've read Mike's Trainer. Like, the RC strategies in there were insanely helpful.

Do LG by type.
Yep, I have been. Only been 4 days and really just started the sequencing and linear games, but already feel faster at those.

I didnt even know cambridge had packets for RC. How do they categorize them? Just by type of passage - science, law, etc? I cant imagine it being too helpful, but never tried it to really know.

Oh, I thought someone had asked if they should do LG by type.

Law, Social Science, Science, Humanities are the four sections. I actually do sometimes drill RC by type when I'm practicing type-specific strategies.

There are type-specific strategies?

I read science passages much slower and make sure I understand the causation involved if there's a mechanism since it always comes up. In artist passages I aggressively look for the artist's opinion/pov. In law passages I read for the scale since it's usually pretty clear

This idea I think is pretty significant. The first time I made an actual attempt to look at that was the passage on Seratonin-carbohydrate craving. It took me a good 5 minutes to read that passage, and at the end I realized I still didnt what the fuck was going on. So I went back and actually diagramed the causation with arrows, and that allowed me to get through the questions pretty quickly.
