Is anyone else dumbfounded that our scores may be delayed because of a few snow flurries? If I can walk through three feet of snow to get to school everyday, LSAC can click a few buttons and get me my score.

I'm dumbfounded by this entire process. This whole guessing game is incredibly frustrating and (seemingly) unnecessary. Of course, the same can be said about LSAC as a whole.

There is a difference in believing the scores would be released earlier vs being dumbfounded when they aren't. You shouldn't be dumbfounded because we know they are using the excuses of make-up test for releasing the scores later than usual.

That's true. However, I didn't say I was dumbfounded that the scores weren't released early; I said I was dumbfounded by the process. LSAC established a date 25 days after the test was given, and that's fine. I would much rather have them stick to that date to eliminate any and all of the uncertainty/stress/anxiety of the last two days. But the guessing game that is brought about by how they release the scores is the issue I'm addressing. It doesn't make sense to me as to why they need to operate in this manner.

Fucking with people and taking their money are the two things that make institutions real. If they just did what you wanted them to do, then you wouldn't respect them. Kind of like women.

A friend just made an interesting observation that I am hesitant to share because it may keep you all up unnecessarily. I'm sharing it anyway. I told him my scores wouldn't be released until tomorrow around 4-5est. He says that's unlikely. For an operation this big, with this many people obsessively checking, they wouldn't wait until the last minute to release your scores. If something goes wrong they would have 0 time to fix it, and it would be an immense amount of stress on the servers. According to this anonymous friend, the most likely result is an auto-release starting at midnight, this way if anything goes wrong, they'd have the working day to fix it. Also the time of least server stress. This friend has worked for/studied mass testing type stuff. However, never with the LSAT, so grains of salt must obviously be taken. Regardless, I'll be checking in between nightmares to see if his thoughts hold any water.
