Ughh, got owned by my early morning tangle with PT 54.

Positives: -1 in LG, my weakest section

Negatives:
-4 in RC. Excuse me? What. -3 alone on the Aida Walker passage. Fucking "cakewalk", my ass.
-7 in LR combined. Some stupid, stupid mistakes.

-12 for a 168 scaled score. Harsh curve on this baby.

I'll take the positives from it, and work on my weak areas. Fuck, just so discouraging.

Still struggling with RC timing a bit. LG -2 is unexceptable. I know I got 1 wrong cuz I was too cocky on the time and so sat there for a bit staring at a question. The other one, damn...don't know what happened...need to go back and check.

Would be nice to get this on test day, but probably not going to happen.

Things to keep in mind for myself: When you see a diagram opportunity, do it right away. Cuts through the bullshit real fast. Of course don't do it for every question, but necessarys, sufficients, and MBTs are best candidates.

The test itself wasn't super hard, but the -10 curve wasn't justified imo. Having taken ~45 PTs now, I think I have a pretty good feel for the relative difficulty of a PT.

Word. I've been getting -9'd and -10'd to death on my most recent PTs curves.

-10 on both June 2012 and Oct 2012 too. Can't buy a -12+ curve :'(

Can someone help me with a LR question? PT 5, Section 1, #2. What makes A a better answer than C? Thanks!

The biggest issue with this question seems to be the scope shift from "college students" (in general) in the conclusion to "my students" (specifically) in the premise. Though C (like B) might identify a problem with the argument, it's not the biggest problem. Try the denial test - negate C (or B), and the argument still doesn't connect its premise to its conclusion. But negate A, and the whole thing just doesn't make any sense anymore.

Yes and I love it and I also eat pumpkin puree mixed with oatmeal a lot for breakfast so I'm sure I'd like it.
