Let's keep each other accountable! My dismal score motivates me to really study this time around. I don't ever want to get this depressed again.

For the recent retakers:

What are your plans for Round 2 of studying? Drilling the entire cambridge packets and then PT'ing?

So I want to go up from a low 150 to about a 157-165. I will have about 3 months to study. I used Power Score to self study. Might go with Manhattan and their prep courses to improve on my score. My goal is probably Iowa with some money in the June window w/ the Fall 2015 this cycle. Forget the school and just focus on the score. Is the jump feasible? How much am I looking to study per day? 2-3 hrs per day or I can even get by with 1-2?

Manhattan perhaps. I am really detested after my score. I didn't expect around a low 150. I expected a 156. My goals are modest with Iowa and about a 160. However, I think I might just self study because the price for courses is too high.

Do you live in Iowa? I just got done spending almost a year there in Boone (just west of Ames). Interesting place. Too cold for my Florida blood.

As far as your goal. Just keep grinding away at drills and fundamentals and you'll hit your goal. Keep the faith.

Gonna power skim through the Manhattan LR again but mainly focus on drilling and PTs like you said. I work full time, so I only PT on Saturdays. You have a similar plan?
I have to wait until this weekend to have access to a printer to print off my drills and PT's....but I'll probably reread the Trainer/Manhattan LR in the meantime. Thinking about drilling until mid April and then PT 2-3/week till test day.

Just got my score like 3 hours ago so I haven't really thought about a thorough study plan yet. lol.
McJimJam wrote: My RC hadn't improved since my diagnostic so definitely drilling for that and using Cambridge for LR drilling. My LGs were consistently -0 but I'm assuming I'll be rusty so bit of that as well. Not sure when I'll start PT'ing again.
I just know I did my worst on RC and haven't drilled all of the Cambridge RC packet. Making sure I do that this time around.

It really varies per person and no two test takers are identical.
If you haven't already, I would start with The Trainer by Mike Kim. It could potentially be groundbreaking and will open you up to the Manhattan style (Kim is a former Manhattan instructor so The Trainer and Manhattan complement each other very well and use many of the same techniques.)
Check out the OP for my prep material recommendations. RZ posted it there.

I didn't take it, but I've been prepping as if I'm a retaker since I've been studying for so long and I've gone through a lot of the material already. I'm just going through all the cambridge packets and I really need to start PTing again. I'm also still working through the Trainer while drilling. I'm saving all questions that I get wrong during drilling so I can re-do them later and get them right.
And I am not grading any more PTs until after I BR them. I need to take BR more seriously.

No, I don't, but it's probably the highest ranked school that accepts a June score from my knowledge. How many hours per day? I fed myself by doing only 2-3 hrs per day for one month before the Feb test and I didn't even use the tricks they said.
