Thanks Pithypike I owe you a beer, I used your study plan for LG, and somewhat for LR (ran out of time) and it helped me get to a 176.

Hi, I'm currently in Japan and they don't sell the Kaplan Mastery book here. Is it a must-have for the LSAT? I have the Powerscore books for LGs and LR...

I might of missed this question.

What if you dont have the kaplan mastery book? What can I do in order to replace that?

I see some of the Mastery books are going for 80 or more a little out of my price range right now.

Kaplan Mastery is just a collection of real questions from the Lsat, so no its not absolutely necessary, its just easier than collection the questions yourself then organizing them.

Hi all, sorry if this has already been asked or addressed but is purchasing the LG bible setup book a good idea? Need a little help with setups...testing in Dec. I have copies of the games as advised from this thread previously, etc.

If you've gone through the LGB and worked through games for a while and are still struggling with setups, it's worth the money.

Is there a reason you have the LR types broken down the way you do? I was planning on just going in order of the LRB, but i'm interested to see if you found better results because of the way you broke our the question types.

If anyone is interested, I am selling the three PowerScore books, the LSAT Mastery Book, and the SuperPrep book. I have some other supplements as well, such as a Law School Admissions Guide and a Kaplan LSAT Extreme book that I would throw in there as well. I'd like to sell the books for 60-70% of what I paid for them on Amazon. I will make all erasures where possible.

Send me a PM if you're interested. Thanks for the great set up, Pithypike! It really helped for the test.

I just ordered the 3 powerscore bibles. Is the entire LGB applicable to the LSAT exam?

Thanks for the brilliant info.

Well, the entire LGB was written specifically for the LSAT, so I would say "yes."

Pithypike -

When doing the LG's the way you outlined, are you saying you get each answer correct each time and just work on cutting down the timing? I am working this plan and I am seeing improvement from game to game (1 or 2 questions) however, I am still getting some wrong but my time has been cut down dramatically between the first and second attempts at the game. It could be familiarity since they have been practiced before or just getting better at recognizing the major setup, not sure as I haven't take a pt lately. I am working on about 7 to 8 different games a day, some new, some old.

Thoughts?

If anyone who has done pithypike's study guide or something similar to it or pithypike himself has some free time I have a few questions I would like to ask in PM. I just need help organizing and clarifying the studying technique and schedule.

Thanks

After studying an LR question type from the LRB, do you do all the questions associated with that Q type in Kaplan's Mastery?

For example, for Must be true there are 103 questions in KM. Do I do them all before going on to the next chapter or should I save some for later?

My diagnostic was 154 and I spent a few weeks reading through the Powerscore LR and LG Bibles before finding Pithypike's guide. I spent 2 1/2 months studying from that point. The logic games strategy is very useful. It was my absolute worst section, sometimes missing more than half in a section and only finishing three of them. My practice average was around 163, though I hit a high of 171 on pt 51. I ended up with -5 on the games in Dec. the RC still got me though.

Actual Dec score: 164

i would like to know this too. i took the TM full length course and have all the supplemental work (breaks down the LR into question types also). there are 79 MBT. so i have 103 (from KM) and 79 (from TM) for MBT. im sure there is overlap but should i save some for later?

taking the june lsat (september just in case). thanks.

Thanks for the great guide Pithypike!!

I have a question though... can anyone tell me what exactly is in the Kaplan Mastery book? As far as I can tell we're using it primarily for the LR questions that it divides based on question type and difficulty. In that case, is there any reason why we can't use the LR questions by type that CambridgeLSAT sells? (--LinkRemoved--) Just wondering because I don't live in the States and I don't expect to be able to procure the Mastery book here.

Someone in this thread said it's floating around on torrent:

More on it here:

This also divides LR by topic and is more comprehensive, but you'd need the books of PTs already:

+1

I'd really like to know this as well.

Also, since the guide suggests making 3 copies of all the games and sorting them by type, is there a reason not to simply purchase the pre-sorted games from CambridgeLSAT: http://www.cambridgelsat.com/product/ls ... c_games/23 ? Should I do this rather than buy the 3 LSAT Prep books?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
