June 2015 Re-Takers Study Thread Forum

I bombed both times, looking for a 10 point jump. My average going in was high to low 170s, so we'll see. Maybe I'll just be a TLS lifer with no intentions of going to lawlschool.

How's studying going for you all?

This week I've began adding some serious structure to my studying methods and I gotta say- The improvements I'm seeing already are making me pretty confident that Ill be able to achieve a significant (8 or more pts) score improvement. Im going through the LG bible and making flash cards for each chapter and all of the sudden inferences just jump out at me. Im hoping I can have the same success on LR with this method.

OH BTW - This thread has some serious positive vibes so I'm in!

Unsolicited advice (ignore if you want): I know balancing classes and studying is tough. I always make sure to carry questions with me to do in any downtime I have. If I get to class 9-10 minutes early I do an RC passage or a LG. If I only have a couple minutes I do some LR. If I think the professor is going on a tangent that isn't relevant or something I know then I do a LR question or 2. Meeting a friend somewhere and you get there before them? Fit in a couple questions before they arrive. Basically any time you would awkwardly look at your phone for a few minutes to look like you're busy or so people don't talk to you is when you can fit in a few minutes of studying. A few questions here and there really adds up and its much better than nothing

This is awesome advice, and everyone should listen to it. No matter how busy we are, there are still so many minutes of the day the could be put to better use. You don't have to study exclusively in large chunks. A few questions here and there throughout the day can really add up to make a substantial difference.

Assuming you do each question in less than a minute, I'd say <5 minutes is pretty adequate time for salad choppin' and tossin'. Check your privilege, msp8.

ffft, I was even debating calling in to order my salad to make sure they'd have it ready quickly. That's how my privilege works!

(and it was more the: salads are already made up in large bowls. Just takes scooping it out and putting it in a container to go.)

The best feeling- when literally everyone else in your office is out of state so you just get to watch netflix, study for the LSAT, and tell everyone who calls that there is no one to talk to! Life is good today!
